Silencer was removed, also. Forgot to mention that.
Its a little cleaner now, thats when I picked the car up the week before.
Hopefully some quicker times next year w/ a few mods
It looks really good for being almost 20 years old and you've got a strong runner.....I hollowed the stock cat, and added manual boost control at 17-18 psi and ran [email protected] with a 2.37 60' time. Very little mods and the car will haul some ass. Of course with that added power, you need some traction too! The car dynoed at 210 WHP and 214 TQ. 13's seconds is a fairly easy feat with just a few minor mods. Good luck in the future!
I don't remember if I even had my fuel pump rewired or not. but the rest of the car was stock with 160k on the bottom end. With just those mods it ran a best of 14.1 at 101mphRight now for me on street tires I spin till about 60mph so Im looking for something a little more sticky
60!? How old are your tires/what tread rating are they? You'd really be surprised at how well a decent set of tires helps out a fwd. I was spinning left and right until I bought some goodyear eagles, they're not even that great of a tire, but they did wonders for awhile. I'm spinning again now but I've upped hp considerably since then.
Also I didn't see poly motor mounts in your mod list. Those can really help with traction on a fwd, I went the cheap route and bought some 3m window weld and just did the front motor mount, again I was spinning at that time and the window weld did the trick until I upped hp again.
Losing weight in the back of the car will help a lot too since the springs won't be compressed so much and will rebound from a launch much faster.
Whats the 3m window weld about?
