What's this used/needed for??

I can see that It measures the voltage, has a button(s) on the back side and changes the reading but from what I see nothin fancy. It's a 3 wire hook up right to the ECM. Did the last owner install for a more precise reading, maybe,, like I said it came with the car. Thanks

It looks to be an eBay turbo timer.

It does look like an ebay turbo timer, but the turbo timer from ebay usually have four wires, one positive, one negative, one for the ignition and one that usually leads to the ebrake just I case some one try to still your car.

Why do you think it reads volts?

Does it have power and ground and then 3 wires going to the ECM? What Pins are they going to?

Voltage, cause its 12 something in the screen and then crank the car and reads 14ish in volts I know that for sure. As far as wires go I only saw 3 don't remember colors of either though. Will have to check later

My turbo timer displays many values but i have the old school HKS type 1 black edition so it will speed rpm volts 1/4 1/8th 0-60 ect... But mine has like 10 wires to it id guess its a wide band.

Looks like a WBO2 readout to me. If there's three wires that means two are power, leaving a third signal wire of some sort.

Black to green blk stripe corner
Red to solid thick red
Green to solid thick white
White nothing

This is with key on and then with it revving. Last one is a different reading after pressing button on back.
