what's this plug for?

I was digging under the hood and found this plug loose

it's attached to the main harness it's about 6 inches long and attaches under the fuse box/intercooler piping area

i looked alll over and couldn't find any empty plugs to plug it in...

where's this thing go!

unless they hid the big ABS distritbutor thing under the car where u can't see it :laugh:

That looks like the plug for the o2 sensor.

Wiring harnesses are universal from one model to another. Whatever it was meant to plug into, your car does not have.

You'll find another anonymous plug (nearly identical to that one) over by your abs module/driverside headlight. I think they are mystery plugs personally, but they may well be for the 420a

Cruise Control? Sounds like it's the same one i have loose in my car... and since my cruise control doesn't work/was taken out of the car b4 i got it and people were telling me that's where it was from it kind of made sense...

What's very strange is that it looks EXACTLY like the plug for the 1G MAF sensor.

...and is near the same spot.

i was gonna say that does look like a 1g maf plug and its in the same genereal area but how would that be?

Just went out and checked and it isn't the bcs... I vote cruise now also.

I dont think its cruise control. I have a plug like that as well, but near the TB. My cruise control works. I always wondered what it was. Its not some type of plug for OBD is it?
