what's needed for tunerPro?

I just bought a socketed eprom for my 1990 laser rs. I was wondering what all I will need to start burning new chips for my ecu. I found a program called TunerPro. It sounds as good as dsmlink, but a bit more difficult. However, it's free. I know TunerPro cant burn the disks directly. It just creates and edits the bin for the eprom chip. What do I need to use to burn the chips. Where can I find the hardware?

Go to moates. You will be better of with the ostrich emulator. They sell chip burners and chips also.

does it matter what chip burner I use? Is usb ok. I don't think I even have com ports on my computer any more. Also, what does the ostrich emulator do?

The ostrich takes the place of your eprom. This allows you to make adjustments to the program while you are in the car instead of having to pull the chip out and reburn everytime you want to make a change.

I use the Moates burn1 but if you have a laptop, id get the ostrich for realtime editing. You need a bin and xdf file which can be found on the yahoo forum for tunerpro to get started.
