I happened to end get my hands on an unused St Black turbo, but I don't know what I've got? Starting with a turbine wheel that measures 2.35"/2.65", 79 Trim, in a TD05 hsg w/ A/R 48, as I measured & calc'd. Full Garrett CHRA. A comp wheel that measures 2.3"/3.6, 41 Trim (calc'd) and A/R 50, in a T04E or B? hsg(2.75' intake/2"out).
I have the pics. The turbines wheel is close to a GT35 and the comp wheel is a bit larger than a T61. These are only guesses and I would appreciate any imput from those who have the info that would help me be sure . :confused: Also need to understand how it might perform! I have a GT30-10, now but might want to switch to this if it looks good. Thanks! :thumb:

:dsm: Hey every one I just bought an ecu that I was told it was a turbo fwd ecu. The part number printed on the case is MD128625. Is this truely a turbo ecu? Any help would aid me in my turbo motor swap. Thanks in advance
 
Alright I bought this used motor and it has a turbo takin off of a cyclone motor... The number on it is tdo5h.. I thought it was just a 14b but on the inside it has 6 sets of clipping just like my friends 16g...So is this a 16g in a 14b housing??
 
easiest way to tell if it's a 14b or a 16G is by looking at the fins. if the fins are staggered then it is a 16G [ small, big,evo who knows ] and the 14B are all same level fins.

judging by what you said it is a 16G, which may be correct because a cyclone motor is from an evo..
 
A cyclone motor is not from an evo. There is no such thing as a cyclone motor, people call it a cyclone motor because it says cyclone on the intake manifold, and it has a red valve cover. These so called cyclone motors come out a JDM galant VR4. Real evo 1-3 motors have a titanium like color valve cover, and a way different intake manifold. :talon:
 
Oh, i forgot it is possible that you do have a 16g turbo. There were a special edition galant VR4's made in japan that came with i believe it was a S16g, these also had yellow fuel injectors which are 510's or 550's. So if you still have that engine go ahead and use the injectors to. Hope this information helps you. :talon:
 
the fins are curved is that what you mean by staggered??? THey are like this..)) and there are 6 sets of them..and I dont have the motor I wish I did..
 
You can also look at the number in the middle of the stamping to identify which 16g it is.

052 is a small
042 is a big
047 is an E3

There are 3 types of JDM galant VR4 motors-

One from a automatic Galant-TDO4 13g, 450cc injectors

Normal JDM Galant VR4 -14b with 450 injectors

Galant VR4 RS- yellow 510 injectors, tdo5h 16g. (Please Note that the trannys that come with the RS motors will not work in the US cars becosue of diffrent Ratios)
 
This is my first post I own a 95 gst eclipse. My cousin just got a turbo off an eclipse for his 91' Mazda 323 and he wanted to know if this turbo was a 14b or t25. Thank you

I've owned my eclipse for a month now. I love it runs better then my old 85' supra.

The manifold on the mazda was custom made.
 
i got a new motor and they put my old turbo back into my 2g but they gave me this because it came with the new motor. can anyone tell me what it is?

That's what it looks like to me. If you can find yourself a compressor housing and rebuild that turbo, that'd be real nice.
