This is probably a dumb question, but what is the part called that holds the front suspension in place and bolts up to the knuckle in a 1g? Does anyone know where i can find this part? :hmm:

Hey everybody, i was wondering if anyone knows what that thing we have in the 2G that covers the sunroof on the inside. For the life of me i just can't figure out what its called. Any help is much appreciated.

I just finished swapping out my abused, hacked up, 6 bolt modified wiring harness out of my GSX, and found these three sensors hanging along the firewall... just wondering what they are, and if i should hook them back up when i put my new engine in...

It looks like one of them is the fuel pressure solenoid, which i dont need. The EGR control solenoid, which i also dont need. and i cant seem to find the third one. It sounds like all they are going to do is throw a CEL, which i can clear out with ECUflash.

Not sure how the previous owner was handling it then... the car was on a stock tune without any management besides a SAFC, and had them all unplugged as well as all the emissions stuff.

Wow that is some crazy chanky stuff right there. Glad you got it fixed man. I deleted all these plugs when I was re looming and re taping my entire wiring harness for my bay. I didn't hack them off like some people do. I just took the pig tails and warped them up in the loom and electrical tape. So that I could use them if I need to down the line.

ill have to take some pictures of the old harness that was in there... thank god the talon i just picked up had a virgin harness in her. LOL but thats exactly what i was planning on doing, after i found out that i dont need them :D

Fuel pressure solenoid, egr solenoid and evap system solenoid. They will throw a check engine light if you leave the out.

Thanks for the help with the last sensor. Im running ECUflash, so i can just go into it and clear out the codes correct? figuring all emissions have been deleted, and im running a AFPR?

I've found a few things on my new gst that don't look right to me so I was wondering if anyone could help identify them for me. The first is the transmission, I was told it has a Qualife LSD. The transmission shifter brackets are mounted different, and in the pic you can see the bellhousing is siliconed on...could there be a different transmission/housing?

Secondly, what is this plug? Covered in black grease I guess, over by the battery.

Thanks.

The pics are so bad and the description is vague. How can we answer? I don't even see a question about the transmission. What is it you want to know? Does it have a quaife diff? There is no way to know from that pic or any exterior picture. The unit has obviously been apart and from the looks of that silicone assembled poorly.

I'm sorry for the bad pics, its just hard to get a clear picture.
As far as the transmission, the shifter cables are mounted differently. I'll try to get a better picture, but you can sort of see it in the first one.

What's the cylindrical object on the right, there was a tube coming from the top cracked and attached to nothing; when I removed my bumper, I'm curious. Sorry for sounding like an idiot in advance haha.
