Today marks 2 weeks since my back surgery and I'm starting to be able to do some light tasks, still very limited, no bending, no twisting, no lifting over 10lbs but I did managed to take some parts I had already disassembled prior and run them through the ultrasonic cleaner and wrap them up so they'll be ready to go when I'm able to do more work. It's not much but it's better than sitting around doing nothing.

Fixed the AC on my 95 GST today. I am going to enjoy my drive to work tomorrow. Also put back all the stuff I was too lazy to do earlier. Forgot if you leave off the plastic guard by the balancer you will eat the liner in front of the tire. Guess I need to find one of those.

Should get my 1g water pipe and thermostat housing today for my 2g build. It's the last piece of the puzzle for me to finish my hx35 twinscroll build and get it back on the street. Will do install tomorrow, tidy everything up, get base map on her for speed density, add new fuel, and hopefully do first start up to check for leaks. Any advice for first start up?

Some late night wrenching...New hardware for the caliper brackets. Should be able to take it for a test drive tomorrow if the weather cooperates. Hopefully, thats all the damage that was done by that pothole and i can get back to this tune without any more surprises.

I followed @BoostedBeaver ’s YouTube video and relocated my 90 oil cooler. Hoping to help the water temps on track and aits from moving it to the side. I didn’t weld like he did, I just nut and bolted some Lowe’s brackets and straps. I just need to rework my relocated PS cooler.

I FINALLY ordered my race seats. I'm hoping when they arrive it gives me the motivation to continue back on the car. I've been working a ton and have not wanted to do anything with either of the cars.

The cool thing is though I basically got the seats for free. I have been saving my Amazon gift cards. I got a few for Christmas, and then I sometimes get "points" at work for going above and beyond, or supporting a last minute project. We have an online portal to utilize those points, or we can cash them in for gift cards of equal value. Well, I've been killing it lately and have been getting the extra rewards from various people at work. My manager has nominated me a few times, the quality team has added me, my manager's manager, one of the buyers, etc.

Anyway, it's added up to ~600 in points that I turned into $600 in Amazon gift cards. When I got my quick disconnect for my steering wheel, I also paid for it with the Amazon gift cards. After buying it, and my seats I still have a balance of like $63, and I have another 50 point reward that I have yet to "cash in". I might turn that one into a Home Depot gift card though to buy tools, or something for the house.

Took my 3 daughters for a drive today, my oldest thinks it's cool cause no one else has one around here. They all like being pushed into their seats under boost... Then they all love when the BOV releases. (recirculated Forge 1g replacements are loud)

Might be sad day when it sells or they become to big to all fit.

A wash

Took the car cover off of it, dusted it, and drove it to the store. Ever since the new lifter install it's had issues idling again when load is on it. Like when the fans kick on, or etc. I haven't driven the car very many miles since the new lifters were installed, so maybe it's an issue with them pumping up or down.

The car absolutely rips though since the new lifters. I put the boost up a bit and it tickled 27lbs tonight. Pulls really hard and good. Unfortunately because Florida is home of liquid sunshine, it's been raining for 40 days and 40 nights so the roads were too wet to do a dragy run. :( Maybe I'll drive it to work one of these days and get a pass in on some dry AL backroads.

Other than that, ordered some fittings for my flex-fuel sensor and some clear RTV for the back window to seal the leak. Gonna turn the boost back down to 22-24ish though and see how much time I can shave off my existing passes on that boost level. It still has a LOT left in it, in the driver mod area. If I need to though...30+lbs are always there. :D

I have been fixing the clear coat on my car, using Poppy's Patina wipe on. Starting with the hood, I tried just wiping it on and was not exactly pleased with the look. Most likely an issue with my technique. Was splotchy and dry right next to a run. So I scuffed it and used a regular paint gun. After a wet sand and a rough buffing job, it looked pretty decent. Good enough for what I'm looking for, so I went and sprayed the rest of the red on the car. Then wet sanded with 1500 and 1st buffing step with a rough pad. The after picture is the first wash, now I will do 2 more round of buffing to get the swirls out.

This was minor color repair, just a scuff and re-clear. I will be repainting the whole car in the future, so this is a temporarily permanent solution. This is also the good side of the car, these pictures make it look real nice. Get too close and you will see cleared over rock chips.. I will show more in my build thread in the next few days.

I have oxidized single stage black paint on my Talon & going to use the Poppy's Clear also. I'm curious how or what (if anything) did you do to prepare your red paint before applying the Clear Coat? For example did you cut / buff just the paint to shine it up before applying the clear coat? Thanks!

Pulled and replaced the drooping & tatered OEM Headliner in my Talon with new gray Hobby Lobby Headliner Material and 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. Cost me about $30 in materials and followed a couple YouTube vids. Very happy with the results!

I "showed it off" LOL

I had just cleaned up tools working on my nephews car to take a break and get some lunch. Just as I get upstairs I see someone in my front yard headed to the front door.

I go down to see what's up, and turns out he's a Mitsubishi head that I actually had met MANY years ago. He has a Twin Turbo Stealth and was asking me about my 3000GT. Then he started talking about owning a DSM back in the day. He had owned a 90 Talon back in 94, then I popped the garage door to show him mine. He was like "There is is"

After thinking about it I told him that I almost bought his previous twin turbo from him when he had bought his "better" one.

It was a cool little convo

I got fifth trans gears from EVO III with full syncro from EUROPE 😁😁 i’m happy for it

I want that for my 3000GT trans. I have the DSM 5th in it now, which is taller than the 3s 5th, but the EVO III 5th is the holy grail.
