Still troubleshooting why I cant connect to ECMLink. I have troubleshot just about everything and it has to be something between the diag port to the ecu. Just need to chase it down or check the last thing off the list and throw the dash back in. Maybe the dash being hooked up will complete some weird circuit on the OHM Racing harnesses. Been about a week and half of non stop troubleshooting haha and I'm losing it

i also had some connecting issues recently and what i found was if i pulled the obd connector out of its housing an plugged it in and pushed on all of the pins i was finally able to get it to connect. my guess is the pins are loose from me plugging and unplugging my cord a bunch over the years.

Maybe but I tried that with a buddy observing the laptop and nothing. Could try it again and see what happens

it took me a few tries of messing with the connector then trying again and finally i was able to connect. then a few weeks later had my buddies car do the same thing to us. i bought new cords and everything only to find a brand new cable wasnt able to connect until i started messing with my obd port.

I'll give that a go man. Hopefully it is as silly as that cause I'm losing my mind haha. Wiring is not for me.

I feel like I'm so close to the finish line but I'm just still getting hemmed up with this stupid ECU connection problem. I think the only thing I haven't tried is throw the dash in and connect those connectors. Other than that I think I've almost exhausted everything else/option/troubleshoot. Kinda takes the wind out of your sails

Got this clocked and ready to go in with some FIC 1650 hi z injectors

It’s a HX40w. 60/86mm 7 blade with a .63 T3 hot side

Be very careful if you run Ethanol with that small of a valute on an HX40. A .63 on E burns really hot and I ruined 2 shafts before going to a bigger hotside. I just want you to enjoy it, it's a fun turbo. Feed it well, drain it better. :)
On gasoline, you won't have any issues.

No ethanol yet. I don’t beat on the car just the occasional hit here and there LOL But definitely appreciate the advice.

Did you feed from the ofh? Use a restrictor?

Yes I feed directly from the OFH, unrestricted. I run a Earls turbo oil filter, inline with the feed. Use a 3/4" drain, like Morrison Fabrication offers and the turbo will be happy and live a long life. :thumb:

Went to check the tightness of my TB Elbow/UICP clamp and coupler, and it disintegrated in my hands. Nut was cross threaded somehow. But only on the bottom half? WTF

Anyway, after some searching I found a spare clamp, and wrestled the PITA coupler back on. Tightened the absolute hell out of it, went for a test drive. Changing nothing, car immediately shot to almost 30psi before I let off. ROFL Yep, had a big boost leak. The clamp was just tight or loose enough to let pressure escape past it once it hit 15ish lbs, but not enough to blow it off.

Had to back to duty cycle down to 38. It was set at 61 before and only making 18. Thing RIPS now. I think it's been leaking this whole time, but I only noticed it once it steadily got worse and worse. If it wasn't raining I'd make another 0 to 60 and 1/8th mile pass. Alas though, it'll have to wait a couple days. Can't wait though!

Gave her a wash, and removed the rain guards. I'm never gonna drive this car when it's rainy out to be honest, and I like how it looks better without them. If I change my mind, I can just throw them back on. Easy peasy.

Not bad for a 34 year old lady. In car years that's like..a lady in her 60's.

Rain guards???

Rain guards???

Yeah. They stick on the top part of the window trim and allow you to keep the windows cracked during rain.

Changed the wheels & threw some water on mine as well. The sun is out in Texas

God, Belize Green is my favorite color for a 1GA. Too bad they’re unobtainium but a new clear Mitsu Center piece and clear corner lenses would just make it pop.
