Stretched the 1g intake snorkel over a 2g maf and fitted it with a 4.5"x4.5" K&N filter.. it actually fit under the (stupidly routed) intercooler pipe. I was amazed. I'm still getting the intercooler piping modified because I need to use a 2g intake as the 1g is cracking pretty bad.

Replaced all the valve cover bolts with some shiny allen head ones.

A little while ago, moved oil pressure and boost gauges into center vent with a custom bezel and mounting scheme.
 
Finished mounting Tiburon drivers seat.

Started ripping apart front end.

PO put in aftermarket HID's. Open housings and wires everywhere.

He also decided the best way to remove fog lights is cut the wires. :rolleyes:

At least it was quick removal. 1-2 bolts on each headlight.

Guess I'm looking for new headlights, and fog pigtails at yard tomorrow.
 
Too sore today, but yesterday:

installed new clutch master cyilnder, slave cylinder, ran wiring for MTX-L through firewall, inspected plugs, swapped to NGK wires, FIC-750s, new damper

weather permitting in the future:
drop gas tank, inspect pump o-ring (to try to figure out AFPR bleed-off), port oil filter housing relief hole even more, so much, much more.

Have access to a garage but a 65 Mustang Coupe is sitting in there being restored from ground up.
 
Pulled off drivers front fender, snapped the bottom 2 screws on that side too. :banghead:

Put front end back on it's wheels.

Figured out how I'm going to make fender braces with DOM tubing from other projects roll cage scrap.

1.75x0.095 seems huge, but it does fit in there.
 
Worked on drivers seat rails.

Bought some NOS OEM 97+ Eagle talon f&r mud flaps off eBay for $15 :)

Dunno if I'll use them since I have some 95-96 ones that match twist skirts.

I always liked the Rally Armor mud falls on our cars. The Evo 8 ones fit with mild modification.

Sounds like the perfect chance to do an HID retrofit.
 
One final "bolt-on" before test and tune on Friday, hopefully I can squeeze every last bit of airflow out of this HTA68 and run the low 11 I've been gunning for...

That's the plan, Bud. My last track day before it starts getting over 100*+ is on Friday so I'm just "rigging it" for this weeks test and tune and then over the summer I'll be modifying an extra passenger headlight I got off of eBay for $25.

Just need it functional for Friday. :)

i changed my valve cover gaskets and painted the valve cover but it didn't dry properly and it has finger prints everywhere looks like I'm painting it again this summer when i change my spark plugs etc.
