Eventually..... just been updating my garage on pelicanparts

Started pulling apart the front end. Pretty easy, since nothing seems to be held on by more then 1 bolt, and none of the aftermarket wiring/sensors are secured. :thumb:

This is part of a Greddy EBC. The original line is more then long enough, so it's not a patch.

Does this loop serve a purpose, or did the PO have extra hose he just HAD to use? I don't see anything like this in the installation manual.

Inspected the 2G today after most of the water from the storms receded. We got 26.5" in 24 hours. It was insane. Our infrastructure is built for hurricane levels of rain/storms/etc, and even it got overwhelmed. Entire highways and roads are just falling apart and/or disappearing entirely. Crazy stuff.

Finished uninstalling the SAFC harness that the PO left wired in. Threw a battery on it and a jump box for good measure and started it up. Found out the pump in the trans is bad. Oh boy.

Looks like the 2G is getting a built transmission to go along with the built long-rod 4G64.

Started unbolting front suspension so I can access back of tower rust repairs.

New rule from the PO.
If there is 2 bolts holding something on, do one double the oem torque. The other one just tighten with your fingers. WTF

Drilled holes and loosely mounted my door strakes.

Filled the license plate holes in the front bumper.

Back patched and filled the center post hole. Got about 80% finished with the 3rd brake light delete.

I'd previously shaved the center post and relocated the 3rd brake light to the spoiler...

Delivered a bunch of parts to the painter and paid in full for everything. The only things I have in my possession are the front bumper, deck lid, chassis and hood.

Next week I'll deliver everything else, then a week or so later will be sexy time.

Turned my car on to drive and get my flat spots out of my wheels to see the check engine light is on. Not to mention my log cable won't connect anymore. We will see what comes up when I scan it with buddy's scanner.

Nice job on that though Abele. I just got mine running after head and turbo swap. Paint will be coming next year, maybe with tax. return.

-Put in custom shifter boot (I actually used a sewing machine for the first time in years). Same material as headliner: black denim
-Bolted up downpipe
-Reattached AFPR
-New longer PCV line to IM with that plastic check valve that's all the rage
-Reattached and sealed (hopefully) PCV to snorkel. Only temporary until I get a catch can this season.
-Set up basic prior-to-start tuning bits (injectors, DTC, Cam sensor, WBO2 input, this and that)
-Accidentally primed fuel pump for a few seconds. Good thing is it held 20psi of essentially air for much longer than expected, since the tank has been drained, so I might have fixed the insta-drain issue I have.. we'll see
-Free-air calibrated MTX-L
-Determined that I will have to remove the turbo oil drain from the pan in order to reattach it to the turbo :( I always fear those two bolts. I should have went AN. I left it at that point since I ran out of usable daylight.
-Realized that my spare 4xSMD 31mm white LEDs look really, really good in the map and dome lights. Ordered a few more and the 194 to do the footwells.

um I think that's it.

Contemplated selling it.... for the n-teenth time. Tired of ignoring it when all I really need to do is relocate the inline pump to a safer position, drop it to the ground and start tuning it. It's been that way for the lat 8 months.

Well stop being fuquin lazy then and fix your pumps location and tune that bi***

I found some motivation today after taking a ride in a friends car. I didnt work on it for 5 months because it was cold as all hell (moved up north from Florida), and now that it's warm I've had a crazy work schedule. FML, everyone call me lazy so i can grab my balls and get this shit done.

Bought some msr 17" wheels/tires for $200 and polished them up. Mounted them on the car and stripped one of my wheel studs. Nothing is ever easy. I also put new plugs in and turned up the boost.. It runs so much better now.

Cue phone pics.
