What did you do to your DSM today?

I'd rather do the bearings on a 1G, unit hubs are the devil!

I drilled 2316 holes and tinned some of my LED boards today.

Oh god, don't remind me. I'm just glad I used one of these PCB Plotter for RF and Microwave Board Prototyping - LPKF Laser & Electronics AG to drill the ~2300 holes for all mine.

What did I do to it today?
Tried to get in on the SIM ECMlink dealie, and while waiting for a callback, watched the Canadian dollar slide further because of that dumbass Poloz's dismal outlook speach on the economy. Thanks, ass. You just cost me more money in the conversion because you couldn't keep your damn mouth shut. Comes to power and what is the first thing he does? Creates even more economic turmoil.
Still waiting.. /rage

Hopefully it doesn't slide much further before my order at jnz.. otherwise, getting them from in country is going to be just as expensive.

Yea that would be easier. However I bet my set up was cheaper LOL.

Didn't cost me a penny. AssentWorks, the NFP organization I'm a member of, has all the PCB fabrication equipment. Saved my ass on this because it was purchased the same time I started to work on the designs. I was going to chemdip them, but the chance to use a equipment such as a 16W laser that could do 1mil traces, and a CNC that can drill and mill boards? Yes, Mr. President!

Either which way, regardless of how easy it was, I'm glad it's done.
Doing that second controller board was just a PITA. I think I went through 13 major revisions, with a half dozen minor tweaks each?

Ah, lucky you.

I'm not looking forward the controller at all. I'm currently reading and playing with it just a bit, so many ideas have popped into my head also. This is gonna suck.

Today I removed my driver's side outer cv shaft. Took me about 45minutes, all-in-all.
Separating the outer shaft from the half shaft though was a pain.

Weapons of choice? Pickle fork and a rock hammer. (..seriously, who took my mallet?!?)

Orielly's decided to send the replacement back to Stockton for various awesome reasons but I will have the new one tomorrow. I expect to be driving about 20minutes afterwards. :)

Finally put my front plate on. It doesn't flow with the car at all, but it is oem and it puts my mind at ease about getting pulled over.

Well i took her for a good spin around town, did a few 2nd gear pulls going by people trying to diagnose the source of my major boost creep that likes to go up to 24lbs on a stock tuned setup. She still runs, it was a good day. LOL

Welded some DOM tubing into passenger side rear crash bumper support.

Took a hole saw to my rear bumper. Crash bumper sits alot lower on the bumper then it looks.

Powdercoated the other bumper support, and some brackets/clips.

Finished up the 2g ecu to 1g patch harness + obd2 port, and 2g maf adapter

Found the connectors I needed in an early 2000s Mazda (old logo), which was running a Mitsu ECU.
Also found a Mitsu power transistor and coils (not the same configuration) in a Miata, and also what I believe are the exact same headlight motors as our 1ga.

Seam sealed the rear trunk vent permanently into place. (Plastic is warped, which let water in and caused some rust)

Powdercoated passenger rear crash bumper bracket with threaded tow hook mount.

Powdercoated aluminum rear-lower middle bumper cover bracket.
