ohhh shit i just pulled the trigger on officially ditching my HX40 for a 3586HTA for a little more umph at lower boost. it has more turbine housing as well as more compressor so :hellyeah: FP time for urban. choose not to go 3794 cause it was way out of budget, and the super 94 i figured wouldnt be as street happy as the 3586, and i know ill wanna rip up the streets with my slicks and side exit exhaust LOL.

you'll find my HX40 in the classifieds. heh

boo LOL I was hoping to see you hold the fastest hx40 2g

That was the most expensive lateral move I've seen in a while LOL

It's a personal prefrence. I missed bb turbos and dont wanna run 40 psi to hit a9

It's not that expensive i have two holsets for sale to recoop sp it's not too far off what I'm already into my two holsets (which i won't run at the same time so why keep them both?) and black friday deal was too good to pass up, and will still even though not crazily make more power than hx40, and we all know thAt. The hx40 is same as a garrett old 35r.

Infigured I'd be more on the street with a 35r than with a super 94 and the boost recovery and lag will be decreased with the FP even though it has a .85AR hot side vs the holset .70.

In the end ive known FP has been race inspired turbos designed for really high PR and the holset does do great for the price, but it's not a race turbo. And talon dave has a really really light car. Hes the only one even remotely where he is at with the hx40 and I'm sire it wasnt easy or cheap to get him there either.

The 3586 will just make things a little easier for me. I think I'll be happy with my choice. Flame if you must :p

Drove home from work last light, something was wrong. Got home and realize a dead head light. So this cold morning, I change the light.
Lifter keep ticking on cold start. Check the oil and there was like..... nothing. So I added 4.5 quarts this morning also. Sorry, I'm not worthy.

Close call.

So my DSM has been sitting outside for about three weeks now, think it'll start? It's -35*F with the wind right now. LOL

Actually had a propane torch after all.

I cleaned up the subframe too, Might hit it with some rusto, previous owner had a regular battery and gave it a few rust spots.

You can tell the BIG difference from the first picture to the second of how bad it was.

Ill start up a build thread soon and post everything I have done over the last 5 years.

I used a circle hold cutter and used the supplied grommit. You don't HAVE to, but it helps if you splash through puddles(stuck with condensation) or dirt blowing into your headlight.

I got my Southbend clutch in from TIM!! Excited.

I just got done loading the dsm onto a trailer..Forgot to wear gloves soo my hands hurt.

Now i just gotta figure out how to pay the damm bill, and still pay bills.
