Put my 1g in the ditch two nights ago. First time Ive been in a ditch since I was 16 (Im almost 25 now) Its been stupid cold here the last week or so and weve gotten a bunch of snow recently as well. It was windier than hall and parts of the roads were drifting over. On my way home around 3 am doing 55 on a pretty dry road BOOM big ass drift. sent me fighting for control back and fourth for about 200ft then boom another drift sent me 180 to the other side of the road in a huge snow bank. Didnt get out and home until 5am.

That sucks man :( Hope you're ok and it didn't do too much damage!

Music, nav, and OBD2 logging (Dashcommand in pic) at this point. May add a few movies to pass time at car shows (I do have Elf loaded), but when in range of WiFi, it's your workaday tablet.

Dropped off rear knuckles & sway bar to be blasted/powdercoated.

Couldn't fit them in my blasting box to get them properly cleaned. (I can fit them in my oven tho) :p

Pressed in ES bushing on upper & trailing arms. My new looking arms are now a mess from that grease they include.

Mixed up Smooth-on PMC-790 urethane and made the bushing for 4th diff mount.

From what I saw on the net, it looked like it would be black.... but it's amber.

In DSM fashion I decided to save money on pigment for the 790 and poured it as is. :)

Grabbed up a CF hood out of the classifieds from a member about 4 hours away. Got it home, knocked it down and started rebuilding some shine. It'll need a coat of clear for sure, but it came out pretty good for a $100 hood.

Welded in bracket for 4th diff mount.

Test fitted to ensure subframe still fit in frame :)

I'm not sure if my Apexi N1 will clear it, but I think I'm going to have issues with 3g rear sway bar anyway.

Bad pics, but it's not mounted anymore.

Subframe is ready to strip out bushings, cleanup and get a coat of ? (Eastwood 2K chassis black probably)

So you just add another brace to it so it's braced on all sides?

If you're asking me...

I made a bracket similar to the billet mount bostonhatcher makes, except I made mine out of scrap I had in my garage, and some 90 hardness pourable urethane. This should be similar hardness to the diff mounts I picked up from RTM.

The unused (but already threaded) holes on the drivers side of the diff, are now used. My oem rubber bushings were all in good condition, but since I'm refinishing everything I figured I might as well reinforce the diff before I paint the subframe.

Burned some rubber...

Bushings. All of them removed from rear subframe.

I didn't see anyone else mention it in the diff bushing removal threads.
My 3 excellent condition diff bushings had some black fluid in them, which erupted like a volcano once I heated up the bushings.
Drilling into the next one didn't help, unheated it still shot out of the bushings once I pierced the rubber.
I'm assuming these were OEM bushings .

Anyway... whatever it was, it's everywhere :ohdamn:

Going to install a new downpipe and fix an exhaust leak. Then caress it and make love to it LOL

^ Looks good. I like the slits in the headlight cover.

My wife's Eclipse had a radiator fan go AWOL. Then the radiator neck snapped off. So I figured it was time for an upgrade.

Talk shit on Ebay parts all you want. This radiator cost $85 shipped, bolts in like stock, and is a massive upgrade over the old heat damaged plastic unit. Not a single complaint from me.
