Finally got to test drive it today after finishing the build. All I can say is wow the hx35 is a beast, of course with the fresh motor I just took it to about 5k but wow. I've got to finish all the fine tuning in the morning and drive it around a little, but I can't wait to finish breaking in the motor and throwing the boost around 30psi, should be really fun then LOL

Finished rebuilding the T28 and I flashed my ECU and tuned with Ceddy Mods :rocks:

DRTredhead- In the third picture, what is that part mounted to the firewall with the filter on top?

And about the aluminum flooring, that saves a lot of weight also right? Looks like wood screws holding it down LOL

Oil catch can that's VTA (vented to atmosphere).

If you remove your spare tire, jack, wiper fluid reservoir, and all that sheet metal then you're saving some decent weight. The metal and brackets there that you remove weigh about 19lbs if I remember right when I weighed it all.

Hmm interesting.. Both the breather nipples on my valve cover have hoses dangling off to the bottom of car, is that a bad setup? Came like that.

Yes, that's a bad thing. Read this tech article to learn how it should be and why.

edit: damn, Corey beat me to it. same link and all. LOL

Today I bought a set of rear brembo calipers, ordered rotors, pads and SS brake lines. Then I went to my local auto paint supply store and ask for a color match so I can touch up my calipers. The closest match for the brembo red was some kind of crazy mixture that they can make for me for just $240 big ones a pint. Obviously I'm still looking for something to touch up my brembos. Any ideas?

Last night I ordered some fittings. Then crimped all my pins on to my engine side harness. Today I will terminate them into the connector and make my pin out, I will then move on to the ECU harness and do the same.
I also wrapped my b pillar and it looks freaking awesome, gonna do some more pieces today.

First order of business today is to clean the shop, again!

go get them re powder coated.

Thank you 3kgt2nv! But the calipers honestly just need a couple spots of touch ups and they will be perfect again so there is no need for do a full powder coating and such. But I'll keep looking.

Where are all the pictures at while you're doing this wiring harness? Making a pin-out seems like a lot of work but I figured you'd have done that first, before installing the pins in the Q.D.

How many Q.D.'s did you end up going with on the harness?

:dsm:

Niicerrrr I'd love to do that! Is that aluminium? And how did you attach it to the body? Doesnt look welded.

Yes it is aluminum. I used rivet nuts and 8-32 button head screws to hold it in place, and I used silicon window sealant to keep it sealed. On the bottom I have two piece of aluminum angle pop riveted in place to give it a little more stability an to keep it from trammeling.
