Started making the ECU wiring harness form board to do a mil.spec tuck. Peg board and rope makes it really easy to mock up in the bay and get the lengths correct without messing up a harness...

Hahaha at least he can work on his! Most can't. Pulled the head off my old 7 bolt. What a mess. Pistons 1 and 2 looked horrible. Piston 2 was actually broken at the valve relief. But I will be polishing my 2g head and valve cover, to be used on the 6 bolt. Cannot wait to get up the funds for this engine build! Oh and got some bolts in my torque converter after losing 2 the other night LOL

Looks good zombie!

Installed my polished valve cover.

Make sure if you do this you either remove baffels, or spray shit tona of break cleaner in the baffels and pcv system to insire no metal flakes. I had lots come out. The. Flush with water and repeat until no flakes. Looks good i must say, my engine bay only needs my new shiny STM manifold.

Worked at getting the transmission out; gonna need to borrow a ball joint splitter to get the axle out then I can remove the transmission and clutch.

Put heat wrap on runner #4 on my manifold, I'm officially out of SS zip ties though. I'll have to get more.

I also found out that 3 AEM gauges won't fit in my OG Mach V Triple Gauge Vent pod :(

I accidently found out that my brakes are fine, and my hi flow cat was grinding on my driveshaft.Dremel time.

And i found out that first gear you cant make it a half a block..But it sure is fun at wot.

Believe me, I know how to take out a ball joint l, and right now it ain't coming out. I have a splitter handy so why bother fighting with it anymore?

I pulled off my wiper arms, wet sanded them, and gave them a fresh coat of paint. They came out looking like brand new.

Your taking your axels out to remove trans right? So remove it from the trans, dont split the joint!?
You dont need to take any ball joints or split any boots when removing the trans.... Sounds like your already making it harder for yourself. Ive removed my trans 4 times.

When I drop the trans I prefer sliding the axles out of the hub and pulling them out of the trans. Just be sure you drain it first...

If you want to ruin or try to assemble a perfectly good CV axle that's on you but it's not necessary when dropping the transmission. If one is giving you a hard time, most likely the passenger side, get a pry bar back there and hit the bar with a hammer to pop the axle loose.

I got it, I just needed the splitter the apply more pressure when hammering on the hub. Also, this was my first time pulling the trans out of a DSM and I felt it was better to get the axles out of the way properly.
