Today I am building a monolithic fibreglass hood. I plan on making a couple functional scoops for air intake, and overall engine bay cooling.

I need to take a pic so you guys can see this. Yesterday I was cruising and bumpin a little bit. Really didn't even have it turned up at all but, somehow I was able to break my rearview mirror from my windshield. The mirror actually came off with a chunk of glass attached and you can feel the indention in the windshield where my mirror should be. As far as safety I'm not really concerned because my rearview always faces down from the subs. I'm going to call my insurance agent and see if there is any insurance options for this.

2 Alpine Type R 1043d dual 4 ohm, ported box, crunch pzi3000.1d with 0 gauge power wires. Extremely surprised this happened with only 10's..!!! I would say I'm actually running about 1000 watts to the subs when I crank it up for where I have the amp set.
OH yea, and last week I was cleaning up my wiring and managed to cut my left index finger to the bone right at the middle knuckle where your finger bends. Probably could have used a few stitches, but I have yet to have stitches at 26. As of changing the bandages this morning I would say I only have a few days left and it will be back to normal. Minus whatever ligaments I may have severed.

Today after class I have a ground loop somewhere I need to resolve with my components. I think it is due to running my RCAs too close to the crunch power wire. For components I am using alpine type s tweeters, kenwood xcelon door and rear speakers. tweeters rated at 120 rms and 280 max, xcelons are ~ 110 rms and 300 max. Powering all of those is my Rockford P800.4 =200 watt rms at 4 ohm. I've talked to rockford techs on the phone and this amp is way under rated. I was originally powering my subs with this amp before I melted the power terminal due to using a bad ground point.

So if anyone checks this out, and actually knows a little something about stereos let me know anything maybe you have come across, that I am overlooking or could use.

Deleted the Evap can.Took out the old and busted ebay 16g.

I got the old Alt belt off.Just waiting for a package from stm.to put everything back on.

And I did loose my 2g recuirc tube:(.

I'm as reasonable about warming my car up as I can possibly be considering all that's been done to the DSM. As you know, E85 creates hard cold start issues and to combat them I've got to ramp up my deadtimes when the coolant temp is less that 170*. That being said, the car isn't even drive-able until it reaches 180* coolant temps so my FT's are where they need to be.

At any rate, because I like to think I'm a considerate person, I thought I'd fulfill my neighbors wishes (whoever they maybe) as best I could and purchased a 115mm silencer for my muffler. I'm not sure how much it's actually going to silence but it was the least I could do, if it's still too loud then they'll just have to deal with it for 68 more days when I move.

Sorry to hear about your neighbor with the Suburban, that shit would really piss me off too.

:dsm:

If you ever feel like letting me take a look at your tune. I'm sure I could be of some help with that... .

I've always let the 1g warm up before driving off (I'm sure my neighbors over the years have liked me LOL) But I don't have that problem at all if I do decide to drive off before up to operating temps you shouldn't have to adjust deadtimes between gas/e85 cold/warm Ect. at all... .

Haha, just got around to doing a couple projects this holiday weekend...

First order of business - I had to swap the turbo from a 50-trim PTE journal bearing (that I just put on a few months ago) to a rebuilt Evo3 16g "stock" appearing turbo that I picked up from JusMX141 here on the site. Having just moved to CA, I realized after I put on the PTE that I would probably run into issues getting the car emissions tested out here so I changed my mind at the last second and just threw in the 16g to be safe at testing time and if I ever get hassled by a cop. I might have lost some power potential but not much and I have some faster spool now too. The install went as expected, fairly straight forward.

Second project was to pull the oil pain and reseal it, as it was leaking. That means pulling the downpipe and transfer case, as well as loosening the carrier bearing on the driver side axle. And even then the pan didn't drop down as easily as I had hoped... well, it wasn't hard getting it out as much as it was tough to get it back in with all of the hi-temp RTV I had on it. I kept hitting the RTV on pan, what a pain in the ass. Wish I just had an oil pan gasket for it in hindsight. Mental note for next time I guess.

So after all that was bolted back up I start the car and see oil pouring out. I was about to throw my keys across the garage. Though I found that it wasn't coming from the pan, which is what I was freaking out about. Turns out I didn't tighten the oil feed line on the turbo enough. Thankfully, it seems that was the only leak. Unfortunately, I should have tightened it before I put it on the car because that thing is very tough to get to. I got it tight enough to where it didn't leak on the drive this morning, but I think I might have to tighten it a little more, looks like a little bit of seepage still.

So now the car shouldn't leak oil (fingers crossed) and looks a lot more stock under the hood for smog testing time. I just have to put my stock intake tube on and see if I can dress down the I/C piping - I might pull it all off and paint it semi-gloss black like I did the 16g j-pipe. And I should probably check the tune as well after changing turbos I guess :)

Stick with the RTV, even though it is a PITA. I've tried the gasket twice and it eventually leaked both times (even with copper spray and clean surfaces).

I think Mitsu knew what they were doing on this one with the gray RTV. :)

Wrestled my transmission off the motor to inspect my flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, TOB, clutch fork, pivot ball and torque to spec. Not fun when you don't have the jack adapter. But now I'm that much closer to dropping it all in.

Well my radiator decided a take a dump on me while I was driving the other day the plastic piece on the top of the radiator pretty much rusted completely off and was chillin inside of the radiator hose you can kind of tell in the picture, really glad it happened to me on my way to work
Heres a picture of the upper radiator hose with the broken plastic piece still inside of it.

So I ordered the Punishment-Racing Aluminum Radiator and it was an extremely easy install and the product is great and I love the look of it!

hahahha^^^ same thing happen to me... but I went with the c/x for half the price and same quaility LOL

Today flashed my ecu with ceddy mods. Clean my fipk kit with k n filter clean. Man that works really great. I really recommend it. It's the newer version that sprays versus paste.

With ceddy mods my car seems much much smoother.

Finished up installing the VIS carbon fiber hood with Aero Catch pins and hatch. :rocks: I still plan on installing my CF spoiler in the hatch and I'm a bit weary drilling holes in it but, its got to be done!

Just requires a bit of work on your part and you would have found what you were looking for. That's why everyone has their own profile with a list of modifications, as well as a photo gallery so you can look at pictures of their car.

Sold my Spyder GST to an 18 year old.. it almost hurt to watch it go. Just hope it doesn't end up as a parts car.
