what can i use form my 6-bolt for a 16G setup?

i have a complete 6 bolt motor with everything!!(turbo, intake mani VC to oilpan etc.) i was wondering what could i swap from that motor to my 7 bolt to run a 16g..but just was curious thanks!

The only thing you could use as a direct bolt on upgrade to a 1g motor is a 2g head..Unless you plan on porting the 1g head..Also theres the 2g pistons, and 2g maf, if you have an safc and larger injectors..

im sorry you misunderstood. I know that the 16g is a direct bolt of for the 1st gen. I have a full 6 bolt . Can i swap anything over from the 6-bolt to run the 16g. thanks

I think he was asking what you need to install the 16g turbo from the 1g to a 2g. Its a straight bolt on, you already have the water and oil line from the 2g motor.

building is on the side while i have the car running..then when the 7bolt decided to walk it out. 6bolt slipps right in

Do you still have a stock intercooler? Either way you will need the "J" pipe IC piping to mount to your IC. There are two types depending if you have a stock IC or a FMIC. You will also need to modify the oil return line ("J" pipe) to bolt on to the turbo. When i had this setup on my 2g I just used a dremel to oval out the oil return flange that bolts to the turbo. Everything else is pretty much a bolt on. Hope this helped.

so why is it that vendors sell an install kit? I thought that this wasnt a direct bolt on for the 2gens but it was for the 1st gen

Sorry for the cunfusion. Its not a direct bolt on, but it is a bolt on turbo meaning you can use your stock manifold to bolt on too. So it's not an exact bolt on. I don't think there is much else you can use from the 6 bolt.
