So what are you working on that’s NOT your DSM?

First roll over of the 350 SBC Roller Motor (AND the test of the run in stand), so I can see real oil pressure and have it immediately at first start up.
Stay "tuned", first startup is VERY SOON!
Fingers Crossed, as always, and a deep breath!

Night oil change. I can’t see anything, but the temp is pretty nice out.

Legitimately about to do that with the DSM from now on. Too hot out here to work on anything during the day. I work nights anyway, so I'm up all night already.

How has the Tundra been for you? Ive been wanting one for years, but the prices these days can be astronomically high....
This is my second one. My first one lost the trans at 245k and I just traded it because I wanted the bigger cab.

They have a few common problems like any vehicle, and they get horrible mileage, but they are extremely dependable.

This is the more affordable 2wd 4.6L, it leaves some room to wish I had the bigger and better one, but it’s really all I need.

I finally fully upgraded my 96 jeep. I was kind of pressured by my two buddies who just got there's. It originally had 31s on it but now has 33s, so of course i had to give it some more height.

My customers 350 Roller Motor comes to LIFE today. He will be happy, I am stoked. I need to time it and do some carb adjustments and let her run in for around 20 minutes at 2000 rpm or so, varying it for break-in.
I will probably put my Wideband AFR sniffer in one of the headers to get an idea of if she is rich or lean.
STAY TUNED!!! 😎

Thanks Sean. Music to MY ears (but I don't hear very well now days). :thumb: ;)

I think we'd all have better hearing abilities if we spent zero time at races and never modified our exhaust systems ROFL
what?

Oh, as for my NOT my DSM.

I washed the Lancer last night then I clayed it this morning and gave it a good wash this afternoon.

Ran to town this evening. Snapped a quick pic.

Still need to give it a buff and wax. Probably going to buff tomorrow and wax Monday. Might give it another coat next weekend.

Ah, I miss my 09 GTS still to this day
Fast cars they were not but they had such presence

Finally, after 5 years, I'm painting them after two shots of primer with sanding inbetween. These are the PA460-8 cabinets, still have to build two 9ft^3 for the IXL18s

Definitely not fast, but I get a lot of compliments on it.The paint is getting beat though. I've started to consider giving it a respray in the spring. I know the car isn't worth a lot, but I just hit 113k miles (its a 2011), and I honestly figure I can get another 5-10 years out of it, with the little bit of miles I actually put on it so a little bit of time and effort and I could make it look great again.

Try all that and then working with loud ass sirens and air horns for 12 hours a day on top. Lol.

Today was a glorious day. I got the Chevy motor timed and now just need to adjust the fuel mix, I keep coming in smelling like exhaust fumes ROFL
I hope you all enjoy.
I've had a couple people ask what cam is in it, it is a Comp Cams XE288HR and that link is pretty close to exactly what this is with those numbers being moderate but close.

I got up this morning, got my stuff out and started buffing the hood on the Lancer. As I was making my last pass I noticed the buffer felt wobbly. At first I thought the Velcro backing on the pad was failing, as I have had it happen before, but I also knew I didn't have enough heat in it for it to have happened.

What had actually happened though, is the actual backing pad was coming apart. Screwed my plans right up. I could have gotten a backing pad from HF, but they only had 6 inch ones, and all my pads are 5 inch. I wasn't going to buy the backing plate, to also have to buy pads, when I have a ton of 5 inch pads sitting around, so I only got the hood done.

Gave my RV a much needed headlight upgrade, the old sealed beams were just terrible, even with new bulbs, picked up a set of Auxbeam projector LED's(yes they have proper cutoff), all I can say is HOLY CRAP the difference!

Talon's been on the back burner even with its rusty rockers. I should be shot for not taking care of it first and wasting all my money on this piece of shit ass car but I took up a big project and I ain't stopping 'till it's done. Full on resto-mod on this R33 GTST Skyline is underway. I got done doing the intake system today. Super happy with how the piping came out considering I only measured and cut once, then took the sections of pipe to my welding buddy and told him to glue 'em good, only 4 silicone couplers in total. Ended up fitting like a proper aftermarket kit. Still need to attach the rear overfenders and skirts. Need a downpipe now and I can start working on a base map for this beast. Whoever guesses the turbo wins overseas cookie points! :p

New High Flow Body and rebuild kit from Summit Racing. 2 days from order to my door :thumb:
I'll jump on this and knock it out this weekend probably. It's not hard!

Put together this racing sim cockpit for my son. Spent about $550 total on the complete set up. Seat is ridiculously comfortable.

Putting a new engine in my brother’s 1965 HiPo Mustang fastback because the original block had a crack in a coolant jacket that the previous owner didn’t disclose. We rebuilt it all during the restoration, then it milkshaked pretty bad, ruined a lot of parts, and then coated the entire undercarriage in slurry when it blew out the rear main seal. The new engine was just a replacement bare block that saved everything that we could (rods, pistons, crank, heads, and all of the bolt-ons), now it just needs the ignition system and cooling system back in and it’ll fire.
