What parts are you ordering that require the size of the actual hole? The lower insulator’s and Orings are listed on the vendor sites per application and the o rings can be had at the parts store in a Felpro box by simply looking up the...

I never noticed a difference in the world with my FIAV bypassed (not deleted). Now that’s not to say everyone will observe the same in their situation, I’ve seen other scenarios where the car wasn’t happy without it. I personally prefer the...

Your current fuel injectors can be removed and sent to be cleaned and flow tested, if one or more is actually bad (based on the throttle body idea it sounds more like he’s taking wild guesses and either doesn’t want to mess with it or just wants...

What was the rebuild kit advertised as fitting? If you got it from fleabay or the scamazon they like to claim they fit everything so you have to be careful to make sure it actually is intended for your car/turbo

I’m right in the center line of totality, due to that there’s tons of morons here from out of town and going anywhere today is a pain in the ass. Was cool to see it get dark for 4 minutes while I was outside washing my truck.

Spleen8urLSX replied to the thread 2G T28 Turbo upgrade?.
Did not know that! Last I knew no one was left selling them, either way I know they want $1k for a brand new 16g which is fair for what it is but still pointless when Justin Whitesell can build one better than new for half of that. Don’t know...

You can still buy the bolt-on t28 from ExtremePSI brand new in the package if that's what you're looking for.https://www.extremepsi.com/store/Genuine-Garrett-Big-T28-Turbocharger-Mitsubishi-Eclipse-1995-99-SALE.html

Spleen8urLSX replied to the thread 2G T28 Turbo upgrade?.
If you don’t care about keeping it much more than stock then just don’t waste the money. A t28 or 16g isn’t going to make a big difference running it where the stock ecu and fuel system would be happy without upgrading, age by itself isn’t going...

I’d say it’s worth it to throw another set of known good or new wires on it and see what happens. Even if it keeps cooking wires and you opt to not tear into it then you at least know even if you toss it on the shelf for a later time.

As stated that’s an Evo 4-8 style 4g63. The stock 4g63 bottom end in Evo’s has been pushed over 700 horsepower on a few cases if that tells you how stout it is but that’s not typical or practical for most users. As far as the turbo goes it’s...

Good point, I still have a set of NGK blue wires I could try, but I think I’m set on just removing the ARC-2 and running off the stock coil, I’m able to make plenty of power and fun with that, just wanted to share my experiences with the community

      I’m going Haltech :D
    • Spleen8urLSX
I've seen so many people have issues with these, I refused to ever put one on my car. I stuck it out with oem igntion until I went with the Fueltech and glad of it lol

Spleen8urLSX replied to the thread 350whp build.
Danl said it best. The 16g’s I’ve had have been my favorite street turbos and most absolute fun to drive. My last 16g set up made 420whp and 430wtq spiking 28lbs on a dynapak on e85, not typical results and every dyno reads different but that...

The Big 16g IMO is a good 115-120mph in the quarter turbo. This is the BEST street turbo for a street 4g63 DSM in my opinion. I know people have gone 130+ with these. I know the history and tricks that were required to go that fast. I'm speaking...

I was always terrified of that ARC-2 box going out, but after a few years it never did. I mounted it far away from the engine and used rubber washers on all its mounting points to hopefully absorb vibrations to improve the longevity. Who knows if...

You can spin the engine any way you want with the timing belt off as long as all the valves are closed. You don't need to pre-prime the oil pump. Guys....what do you think happens when you leave your car sitting for weeks...months without...

Just stumbled upon this when I opened up motortrend just a little bit ago. I won’t spoil it, but god damn that was impressive and made me proud of these god awful 90s shit boxes we love so much.
    • Spleen8urLSX
This brings up a valuable point though. Findings are clear results that when the ARC 2 works it does work and damn good, so it makes me wonder why so many failures (aside from faulty ones from Dynatek), are they moisture sensitive perhaps?
    • Spleen8urLSX
This is my point. Plug and play still requires fine tuning.Just dont want to see misleading info that plugging in FIC numbers is all you need to do and your good to go. Sure you can get the car to start and even drive if you have narrow band to...
