Let it have wastegate pressure in 1st gear and that 1-2 will be a lot easier

Still have this solenoid zip tied on my car whenever you’re ready for boost by gear!

That was the [email protected] I just need to get some more seat time and knock down the 60’ and 1-2 shift and it should be mid to high 10s all day at that trap speed and that was on my old hx40.

Oh don’t get me started on varying by state. Might sound biased being from Ohio but Michigan is horrible too. I bought my truck in Detroit then I occasionally make the 2 hour journey across the Ohio-Michigan state line to buy parts or pick...

Its funny because I moved to California for half a year back in 2013 for a job that didnt work out and so we drove a moving truck from Corona back to Illinois. The whole time i was in California, i never yelled at anyone or lost my temper while...

Oh I know everyone has to be giving me the finger when I’m driving home from work for a reason
    • Spleen8urLSX
What models do the best and worst drivers drive? These are clearly gross generalizations. I’m not looking to piss anyone off or talk trash, I just always observe drivers and have come up with general opinions over time. I suspect others here...

Speaking as an ambulance driver no one seems to be able to drive or think if sirens are involved. I haven’t really seen one car brand stand out. I will say though people in trucks are either the nicest people ever that will GTFO of the way asap...

I hear those driving 30 year old Ford Rangers and old police Crown Vic’s are the worst…

The AEM solenoid is just a Mac solenoid with an AEM sticker on it, same as Haltech, Holley, Linkecu branded, etc. I’d been using a Mac solenoid with ecmlink no issue ever since I switched from the Hallman mbc, same goes with others I know using...

I can’t speak on a 2g however 1g’s were done the same way. The ground literally ran to a wire shielding (shielded wire) on a factory turbo car, however you don’t have to do it that way. On 1g nt’s we didn’t have this shielded ground to get...

I can’t say much good about PTE. They make real good power, no doubt they perform well, but for the price I’d run a Chinese turbo at a fraction of the cost as PTE has about the same failure rate. If 350-450 on pump gas is your goal an FP Green...

Agree that 20g would be better suited to get you to your goal. With an evo16g, you would need e85 tuning to even get close. But outside of horsepower goals, I like the evo16g as a sweet spot for daily driving tho which is why Ive been rocking it...
    • Spleen8urLSX
Upgraded internals wouldn’t be necessary at all for that goal or even really help you get there, but also wouldn’t hurt for reassurance later on if you want more. With pump gas in the equation instead of e85 you won’t hit 350 on a 16g...

I would for cheap reassurance. Felpro composite gasket and standard ARP’s will go a long way. Might not be necessary to do studs for your goals but it’s a good “why not while you’re in there anyway” type of deal.

Studs are worth it, just the regular ones will do for your goals (not the extra expensive L19).

Extra effort this week. John is going to do his best to get me out the door so I can drive home on the weekend.Ported 2G-o2 is out, E3-o2 is going in! Finally, the E3 turbine is going to match up to the E3-o2 housing. Ever since I rebuilt the...

I bought replacement wiper arms from rockauto several years ago, they looked like crap a year later, now they’re rockauto wiper arms rattle canned with engine enamel.

Never heard of a “bastard 16g”, however like stated above I’ve heard of a td05 20g with the stock appearing cover instead of the down firing job referred to as a bastard 20g. If it’s a 20g wheel then technically it’s slightly bigger than the...

A 16g, some 560s, a 2g or 3g/evo 8 maf, hard upper intercooler pipe, basic bolt ons, all I need in my old age!
