      A modified 16g with a 20g compressor wheel isn’t a 16g, at that point it’s a td05 20g. If you already have it and it’s working just keep it.

NGK br7es (non protruding tip) would be the plug you want to go with. Br6es is the original plug and at that low of boost from that small of a turbo you’d probably be fine, but the 7 wouldn’t hurt and would be my go to in that case.Edit: in...

Terrible reviews on Google with the same issues, picture of a ran down shack with a completely different name on the building with no relation for their street view picture. Extremepsi is a known trustworthy vendor and has them in stock.

Also to point out with the original topic, if you have it apart already and you’re not looking to go crazy in the future no harm in doing cams now given you’ll have a tuning solution. While many of the 264 duration cams still available are a...

Ah, thanks guys. Porting it out shouldn’t be any issue and saves the headache of the downpipe alignment. & I stay away from eBay parts, learned my lessons years ago :banghead:

The way I look at it is a ported stock o2 housing is plenty sufficient for any internally gated “bolt on” unit, especially when you upgrade later and require one with a wastegate provision if you stay with a bolt in set up or decide you want to...

You do NOT need the Evo 3 o2 housing. While a ported Evo 3 o2 housing is an upgrade over a ported 1g/2g unit, it is not necessary and requires modification to the downpipe to make it work. A ported 1g/2g will do just fine, and difference vs an...

I’m not trying to stereotype based on age but dammit I knew you’d come through on this one Marty! I was thinking I bet he still has his original from ‘76 lol. In all seriousness that’s the best price I’ve seen on eBay, I just might scoop that...

Unboxed more parts to put my ‘78 f250 (family inheritance) back on the road after its 20 year hibernation aside from pulling it out of the garage once in 2014. I have had it started and running a few years ago but needs gone through, it’s...

Walked past them a few times on my way out to the garage, mowed around them, hoping this buyer comes through and takes them both!

What parts are you ordering that require the size of the actual hole? The lower insulator’s and Orings are listed on the vendor sites per application and the o rings can be had at the parts store in a Felpro box by simply looking up the...

I never noticed a difference in the world with my FIAV bypassed (not deleted). Now that’s not to say everyone will observe the same in their situation, I’ve seen other scenarios where the car wasn’t happy without it. I personally prefer the...

Your current fuel injectors can be removed and sent to be cleaned and flow tested, if one or more is actually bad (based on the throttle body idea it sounds more like he’s taking wild guesses and either doesn’t want to mess with it or just wants...

What was the rebuild kit advertised as fitting? If you got it from fleabay or the scamazon they like to claim they fit everything so you have to be careful to make sure it actually is intended for your car/turbo

I’m right in the center line of totality, due to that there’s tons of morons here from out of town and going anywhere today is a pain in the ass. Was cool to see it get dark for 4 minutes while I was outside washing my truck.

Spleen8urLSX replied to the thread 2G T28 Turbo upgrade?.
Did not know that! Last I knew no one was left selling them, either way I know they want $1k for a brand new 16g which is fair for what it is but still pointless when Justin Whitesell can build one better than new for half of that. Don’t know...

You can still buy the bolt-on t28 from ExtremePSI brand new in the package if that's what you're looking for.https://www.extremepsi.com/store/Genuine-Garrett-Big-T28-Turbocharger-Mitsubishi-Eclipse-1995-99-SALE.html

Spleen8urLSX replied to the thread 2G T28 Turbo upgrade?.
If you don’t care about keeping it much more than stock then just don’t waste the money. A t28 or 16g isn’t going to make a big difference running it where the stock ecu and fuel system would be happy without upgrading, age by itself isn’t going...
