well if he voted correctly then all motor and turbo would be tied up currently...LOL (i'm just messing with ya JOSH)

So have most of the active members on this site voted yet? If you haven't voted yet cause your waiting for a picture or something, don't worry about it. I'm just trying to get an accurate representation of what we got going on in our 420a section.
 
No, I just haven't updated my profile in a while. It is a 175 wet shop. Nitrous Express kit, 1100psi bottle pressure. As far as supporting mods, I have just about anything you can imagine, with the exception on MS. I have an emanage. It has worked perfectly for me, I seem to have the only fully functional emanage installed. BUT it is indeed a ONE HUNDRED and SEVENTY FIVE shot. Not 75. LOL

OH and I strongly suggest that you get some GOOD tires. Street tires just don't cut it at the track. All I do, even with the LSD is smoke the tires. So, I'm going to get some new tires (slicks) and head back. My last time out at the local 1/8th track I ran an 8.5 at 93 mph. LOL

Have you ever run the 1/4 and what are you projected whp numbers I see you have about 150 in your profile was that with the old 75 shot and suporting mods? I'm very curious as that is what my new project direction might be is a big shot and a buil high compression motor aiming for mid 12's on slicks

Do you have the emange blue running spark control as well? That is the key question most people couldn't figure out.

Emange blue doesn't work well for boosted 2gnt's because you only get fuel control and your injector size is severly limited due to the injector scaling feature based on the stock application.

Emanange is fully functional. It took a lot of time, with a lot of help from one of my friends that owns a local performance shop. My injector size isn't hampered at all anymore, I could run up to 880's very easily; don't ever figure I would need to though. The whp was just motor, no nitrous; with nitrous i put down 3xx.xx whp. :shhh: I have to smooth out the curve a wee bit and needs a slightly better tune, I was running quite rich, low 11 afr's. :beatentodeath:

Good to know and your right I compared your mph in the 1/8th to some other times around yours and you def need slicks man LOL.

I want to see some pics of your set up man, post em up! Whats your comp ratio?
 
Compression is at 8.8:1. The picture in my avatar is of the motor, you just can't see anything besides a half intake and shiney valve cover. LOL I now have the stock intake on, for sneakyness, :sneaky: and a k&n filter with a chopped airbox. Only other noticeable thing are cam gears and the weld patch on my intake manifold (added extra material and I now have a 62mm opening on my intake manifold). Funny thing is, I have a couple of honda friends and they will ride in my car, and because of the drastic power change around 4500rpms, they ask me if I have vtec. :toobad: No, just sounds like it. :rolleyes: Other than that, I can show pictures of the emanage, nitrous solenoids, and that's about it. Just about everything is hidden, and the only reason because you can see the solenoid (only nitrous is in plain sight) is because I moved it from the other location. I have tons of mods hidden in plain sight, you just have to know exactly how a 2g engine bay looks and compare to notice the differences.

Yeah I am not going for the sneak attack thing I don't see a need in a normally NA car with no turbo. First thing people ask is is it turbo I go no and instatly I go from a possibly fast car to a slow ricer or so they think:sneaky:

My plan is to paint my obx manifold black along with my intake piping and headers. My nitrous kit I had in mind was the zex direct port kit because before I build the bottom end I can adjust it down to a 50 shot but only problem is a direct port kit is kinda a give away usualy. Oh well i'll tell them my hood hatch is broke ROFL


I see in yor profile you have a turbo in yoru future plans is that why you stayed with only 8:8:1 cr?
 
Turbo here. And as of about a week ago it actually RUNS :D

Only reason I ask is because I have about the same engine mods as you except the five angle valve job. Which cranes are you running, I have the 12s. I also have the 8.8 comp pistons and my car feels extremly sluggish. Whats your redline and what kind of timing are you running, are you running alot of advanced timing? I am just wondering because of the similarities of our set up I have a 150 wet shot and it doesn't feel like 300whp kind of fast.
 
Really? The car is sluggish, on the bottom side, but once I get into higher rpms it pulls pretty well. Not terrific, but well. Also, what kinda nitrous kit are you running? Different kits use different size jets, which actually will end up resulting in more or less h.p. Timing is conservative, nothing radical, and redline is at 7500 rpms. I too have the 12's but, they have been "tuned" with the cam gears I have. What size jets are you running on your nitrous setup? Seems like you should have more pull, speaking a 150 is a nice sized shot, also what bottle pressure do you use?

I cant remember off the top of my head but I have like a 62 nitrous and the same fuel jet that it recomends for a 75 shot.(I think a 32) and its still rich. I have adjustable cam gears too but I am not running an ignition set up yet. I still have to run ms ignition. Bottle pressure is just ambient pressure, no heater yet:notgood:
 
been boosted for about 3 months. 420a is the way to go to me 10psi on a 14b custom setup pic comeing soon

+1, thats some big numbers on something that alot of people have had problems with. Post em up and be proud...maybe share some tuning tips on this emanage,not that I'm interested someone else may be though.
 
Here is mine, just a great daily driver. This past weekend i got 38mpg driving home and back. It started out not looking nearly as good as it does now, especially the interior. For my mods it is pretty simple:
tein springs - gr2 struts
gst catback
underdrive pulley
k&n air filter
gsx front calipers

What does it matter wether he has emanage up and running for real or not. He dind't give an exact number just a bal park where he thought he was cause I asked. With a car making say 150whp which is more then reaosnable with his mods and a 175 shot you do the math that's 300whp right there without any crazy tuning just bolt on and go. I'm more concerned with the claims of running sluggish :coy:
