Check this out guys.... I think this is what you are trying to accomplish.
This should block the exhaust and only draw in fresh air when the EGR vacuum calls for it.
Note: On metered air vehicles, this may cause a slight 'lean' condition.

A picture's worth a thousand words.......
and the tube can just go to the Intake right after the Filter.

I don't see why that wouldn't work.
I assume you are talking about how to bring in the fresh air, here? The cold side of the EGR valve must be after the TB. The hot side can be somehow plumbed into the intake path before the TB to receive fresh filtered air.
No, I'm talking about moving the EGR itself to some place under the intake manifold, with a custom tube to go from it to the intake manifold... and then a plate to block the head side... just to make it look like there isn't any.
i have 2 vacuum lines. 1 that goes to my mbc and wastegate. the other to my bov and map sensor. so simple
, but I see your logic, definately simple.

I don't see any gains from blocking it off other than a light in ya face all the time.
But I got a better idea from another eclipse owner, I tried it and it works!
I still have my stock tube on (This works for after market intakes too!) and what I did was install a see through fule filter inline between the valve cover and the intake tube and it catches the vapors before they can go back into the motor so ya gotta get extra small tube about 1.5 feett long ### it's gotta wrap around ya bay a bit because the filter I used is kinda big I think it goes on a Chevy but there should be smaller ones on the market you could try but I think the Chevy is the best match becuse of the tube diameter.
Sorry I don't know what a turbo bay looks like but I'm sure you guys can figure it out.
I can see the filter slowly get clogged as time goes by so my motor don't suck the gunk back in.![]()
One day I have time I post pics if you guys wanna see it.
Cost about 5-10 bucks and no check lights!
That just sounds like too much unnecessary work for me.

fuel pressure not imporntant?..., but I see your logic, definately simple.
I presume you are talking about the PCV/VC Breather. I don't see what this has to do with blocking off the EGR valve? Maybe I am missing something?

Alex, how do you still have your EGR hooked up if your using the Portfueler..?
