Thank you. I have a few things I going to do over winter. I am also debating selling the set-up and getting an HX52. I love these turbos!!! But I want to go faster.

I love these turbo's too, but you dont need to jump to that big of a turbo to go faster!

I would just like to run less boost to get slightly more power you know. I am concerned how long this engine will last on 37+psi. I also seem to be pushing a little coolant. I am scared to over torque the head. Im running maperformance h11 headstuds and I believe I torqued them to 105 ftlbs. Should I go to 115 or 120ftlbs?

I have my regular arps torqued to 110flbs, and now have the boost at 38psi without any issues! I hope the weather holds up, so I can go to the track this Saturday, and see what it will do on the new boost levels! The car is nasty now, i can't wait to go to the track again!!!

That is ####ing AWESOME! I am thinking the same way as you ...i think these turbo's are way better then ppl think and this proves it. I have a few honda tuners in my town ...actually respectable cars...big money into them and they keep telling me i wont go fast unless i go and buy a GT series ball bearing turbo from Garrett. I dont have nor would i want to blow the money they have so..i bought a 7-blade hx35 and plan to run the stock divided housing with a non-divided tubular manifold. I have a lot of things to buy over the winter...but i did want to ask..what tranny set-up did you have for this run?

Was it a built tranny if so what did it have for internals? Was it welded center diff, 4spider, did you have an lsd in the front?

I'm super interested in doing a very similar set-up to what you have but am limited to running race gas because we dont have E-85 where i live.

Do you think I will have trouble if i keep things around 33-34psi on an external wastegate set-up if i run race gas say...110 or 116 as i only have pte 1000's right now.

I have the exact turbo sitting in my garage. Going to build a t3 equal length divided manifold for it.

What better time than now to build the bottom end and prep the head/block surfaces for a1 studs and a MLS gasket?

Oh and DKS 280 cams and a JMF IM as well.

I just went to the track today, and didn't turn out so good!
First pass, I cruised down the track to warm up the car,(37*) outside, and cruised to the 1/8th mile at 61mph ripped on it through 3rd and 4th and traped 125.96mph in the 1/4!!! second pass came hauling out of the hole, and bang, shatterd the right rear axle like glass! It broke about 20ft off the starting line and drifted to a 1.61 60ft....crazy! The car was going to run a 9 today if it would of stayed together!

Damn. Sounds like you have no luck with axles. Doesnt yours wheel hop really bad too. Mine is bad. Also I have really been debating a 40 hybrid or a hx52 over this winter but im not sure yet.

No man, mine don't wheel hop at all.
Is there any other housing options for the Hx52, besides the T5, and 5" outlit flange? That was going to be my next turbo, but I dont like the 5" outlit!

I was under the impression that it was a t6 flange turbo and could be bolted to a t4 flange. Also it comes with a few different hot sides. I believe the 16cm divided should spool reasonalbly with the right manifold, I thought it had a 4 inch v-band outlet which should be simple to make a reducer. I havent heard much on the oiling yet so I would like to figure all this out first. Theres a place around my area that claims to have these turbos all the time, but there price seems a little steep at $550.00 used.

Its a stock 90 5-speed awd trans and driveline, with a 4-bolt rearend. All engine mods are in profile.

WOW!, Yes, I think the fastest MPH is even more impressive than the 10.7 . . .But Just wow! not bad for a 54mm turbo! The 20g has a 53mm inducer!

There's a FWD 2g with an 8blade hx35 tailing you. Put your stuff in the ECMLink fastest times for this year. Your setup will fall in the top 20ish .
