Well I am posting this for Tyler. Tyler worked his A** off to get this record and I am so proud to be apart of the team that took it. There is way more work needed to take this record than just slamming the wastegate shut on the 16g. Its about maximizing every aspect of the car to get down the 1320 as fast as we can. Every ounce of air from that little turd was used today! In reality it comes down to the port work and care in the head and the precision of the machine work. This stuff just doesn't happen with stock stuff. When the Mustang Dyno shows up we are shooting for Curt Brown's 499hp 16g record!

Basic mods list-
Car weighed 2820lbs
Force Engineering 800 series short block
Force Engineering NASTY head w/ crane cams
Maxxing out 1600cc of injector with Alcohol as fuel
Force Engineering built auto trans
Custom tubular manifold
26" Hoosier QTPs
Tylers Sick tune!!!

Lucas went 9s on a 68hta. Previous record was 10.33.

Congrats you guys! It was nice meeting you at the shootout this year.

That thing looks stupid quick LOL. Any plans of seeing what happens with a bigger turbo, or just sticking with the 16g and trying to push it farther?

I ran a 10.31 with an unmodified EVO3 16g last year, no one seems to know about that for some reason. Either way a 10.26 is the new record, congrats! The car looks great on that pass.

Edit> You guys should post in the 16g drag race thread in this section, it's lost momentum. The 14b thread is much more active.

John, thanks for posting this, and for all your help. Deffenatly glad to have you as a part of our team!

yeah I knew 9's on a 68, but I thought he was closer on a 16g.

When I talked a bit with Lucas at shootout, he said his best with the 16g was a 10.6

So it runs straight alcohol as primary fuel?

Yes, methanol is the only fuel source

We want to leave 16g on there for a bit, but not long. Plan to put a couple chargers on it at the beginning of the new season. We are planning on putting an fp black on this to run SAT next year at shootout.

With the 1.5 60ft there is still room for improvement. We're going to try to hit 9's with out spray. I'm pretty sure that with some weight removal and rear suspension work, we will be there.

I'd like to see this tubular manifold..I've been experimenting with one myself..
I suppose it has a stock converter to ?
Force Engineering is building a great reputation fast !!:hellyeah:

You should PM Tyler about the manifold design. Its not a simple merge collector but the theory behind the merge is awesome! If you guys seen the compressor wheel on this 16g you would be blown away that Tyler went this fast. I would love to put the Talon on the dyno with this compressor wheel and baseline it and throw a new compressor in it and see how much it gains.

Thanks for the Props man!!!

Chris Ferruchie ran a 10.262..

that pass is listed wrong on dsmtimes.org it was actually a 10.62. If you look on the members time lists on here you'll see the pass, all the numbers are the same except the 1/4 mile time. now way he went 10.26 @ only 124 mph.

Congrats guys. Quite a feat with such a small turbo. Only a few tenths away from single digits with it.

Looks like after my 14b attempts I'm really gonna have to work harder to chase down the 16g record. Thanks guys!!
