You have to remember Joe's car is more than 600 POUNDS lighter and no where near a street car.
I don't get caught up in the symantics of no this, no that.

And has n20..

This is where I draw the lines with the differences. To me there is a turbo record without N20 and one with it. Other then that your grasping at straws for records in my opinion. So in my world this is the official 16g record without nitrous. Some of us (myself included) would have liked to see Joe go a little further with his 16g setup. He had his goals though and once he met them he was satisfied. I would argue that Joe never did try to see what the EvoIII 16g would do without nitrous, since his "record" without nitrous was with the small 16g. Maybe Joe will strap the EvoIII back on just to see if he can re-set the record. But I doubt it. Congrats again

Guess it's all what you consider a street car
Curt's is 2800...my Laser weighs 3200 with A/C, power steering, cruise control, stereo, etc. 400lbs is a nice difference
Congrats to Curt he's always been one hell of a driver and I only hope I can end up making the same power on C16 that y'all have been able to pull out on E85. I'm only missing the SMIM, FP Race manifold as the rest of my setup is damn near the same.
I haven't been on a dyno but using a simple 1/4mile hp calculator I'm at 395-ish to the wheels. The best so far me is sitting at 11.7 @ 118 , right now looking for better 60fts.
...its not Curt's car anymore...and Curt wasnt driving. And E85 will make more power than C16 will any day.If you get on DSMtimes.org , youll see. He beat the ET but not the MPH. So technically the fastest 16g ET with no n2o. I got him siked to go after 9's with that turbo and no nitrous!!![]()

Adam McDougal huh? Never heard of him...does he have a handle on this board? Congrats Adam!
According to Joe's website his pass was at 133, so this is both the ET and mph record.
No nitrogen dioxide? SWEET!
It sure does, and I hope I'm there to see it.I was comparing to the previous no n2o record on dsm times for 135mph. But last night he broke his own ET record at 10.33@131 but the car was breaking up pretty bad in 3rd and 4th, its got 9's in it without nitrous. Its just a matter of time!!

Uh... N2O.
Nitrogen Dioxide is NO2, which to say the least, is not nitrous. Sorry, it bothered me for some reason.
Check the subject line, Slick.
... I'm just messing with ya.It sure does, and I hope I'm there to see it.
Traction was a problem for a bunch of cars that were running the Gambler's race up there later on in the night because it got so cold when the sun dropped that the track cooled off drastically.
I'll be there next week with a vidcam in hand, for sure.
Damn, that is impressive! But pics, a dyno/graph sheet, this would be nice, and actual videos of him racing, would be even better...
. any chance of someone postin' the pic for me? alot to ask i know
