Will have video up tomorrow.

Ran a new best tonight with a better 60ft. got more boost out of the hole. The 1/8mi mph was messed up from a guy hitting the sensor.

Very impressive. How much boost are you launching with? When does that track shutdown for the season? I might bring my a/t over there.

congrats man did you guys get a cage in it or did you guys get kicked out for going that fast?

NICE! There is a push amongst people in the community for using auto's in the 1/4 mile. It's small but there.

This was the last day for our track.

If I let the car boost over 20psi at the launch the rear brake could not hold and the car would do a rwd burn out. It takes a bit to hit 15psi and then just whips. I let off the brake right when it hit 20psi on my 10.8 pass. On my 1st pass of the night it did full 30psi at the line with the rear tires smoking away. I think with a welded ctr diff we could do 25psi launch.

I can't believe your hitting sub 2 sec 60's with a stock converter! My brakes can't hold past 8psi!

hey man, awsome numbers! your set up is really sick! still cant believe the times your seeing out of that turbo!

How are you getting the car to hold that much boost? I can't get my car to hold anything to redline, it usually does 22psi. it sucks. I have teh wastegate shimmed with 2 washers and wastegate unplugged.

The reason for holding the boost

Ported it to creep and the fact we have no intercooler

We have it ported away from the WG. Left the top part and ported the shelf on the bottom away so the air will have a harder time making the turn out the WG and want to go through the turbo.

So basically , if looking at the turbine housing from the top (from the manifold), you enlarged where the exhaust flows. I can picture it in my head, but I haven't looked at a turbine housing in a while. I didn't think that would of helped much.

Interesting.

Is the timing advance stock, more agressive or more retarded?

Great work, its really inspiring. There is a guy running a similar set up on a turbo cobra and they found the IC was a big restriction too.

Not holding boost has been killing me for the last 2 years, if you could think of anything lucas it would be much appreciated.
also we can go to PM so we dont' clutter your thread.
Thanks

If you understand how to eliminate creep on a mitsu housing you would understand what he is saying. He ported the turbo so its harder for the air to make it out the wastegate and go through the turbo, causing the wastegate to pretty much not work at all. Its a good idea.

Base is about 3deg right now and we are getting 15-19deg on the logger so it should be 13-17deg range from peak TQ to redline.

How is timing so low. I have base at 4* and seeing 24-25* peak timing. When I was at 2* I was around 22* peak. I dont really trust the mmcd logger, I set the settings to the base timing Im at and thats what it reads. Must be since my injectors are larger and I have more correction factor.

I see your tuning with just maf-t pro so no timing control like me. Its nice seeing others running large injectors making good power without all that expensive EMS's. What are the IDC's at on 850's?? Im seeing 69% on my 1200's.

They are maxed out (115%) at 0deg base no meth 30psi with the AFRS going 13.2 out the top. With meth and the AUX pulling 40% fuel are AFRS are in the 10s and we have the DC around 95%. With the meth we have the base bumped to 4deg.

I dont trust timing # I see from loggers to much. We run the timing till we stop making good hp per deg or we get knock. We went from 2deg to 4deg and only picked up 1mph. So its not worth a HG to find out ware she might knock.

I am excited to go for a ride in it next time i am down there! Nice work guys!

Things I've found to work so far, true cold air intake, shimmed w.g. actuator,
or external waste gate with a really stiff spring combo, no mas in front of turbo, a huge mandrel bent open flowing exhaust, a good exhaust manifold design, a really good mbc, porting of the turbo like he mentioned above, and obviously I guess having no IC helps a ton as well ;)

What is your compression ratio. Shaved head?

Your still making power at 13.2 AFR's or is it hurting it from leaning out soo much?
Im sure bigger injectors are in your future? Perhaps even just raising the fuel pressure some.

And I agree with your way of tuning, ive always read its possible to get too much cylinder pressure and hurt the motor before you ever even see knock on that kind of fuel.
Tons of timing isnt really a good thing!

Well on the Meth we are in the 10s. The E85 still seems to make good power at 13.0 but not ware i like to run it. The head has not been surfaced.

I found on my Evo the cold air was worth 2psi out the top.
