Never woulda though a mostly stock 2.0 engine/completely stock 130k+ transmission/3-bolt rear on a diesel turbo charger would make it this far. It's amazing what a new clutch and fixing some boost leaks will do. Same exact tune as my previous 11.9 run last month. :D I was on approx. 28 psi with more fuel, for more boost. Starting to get a little scared about the stock drivetrain and things were getting squirly in the top of 2nd, LOL.

Wow man! Awesome times!

Gives me great hope for my new Talon's setup:

- PTE 50, FP cams, ETS 7" kit, Spec stage III, Re-ringed Stock 2.0, STOCK 80k trans, STOCK 3 bolt Lsd rear, stock suspension...

Its gonna have a bit of weight reduction, run a 93/100 mix at the track and Im looking for Mid-high 11's all day..Daily driver as well...

I may now consider the Holset for my next turbo!

Wow, very nice! I bought a HX40 for my 2200lb colt. Can't wait to see what it runs with the built engine, cams, water/meth and 35psi. Once again congrats on the #'s and HOLSET FTW!!

Its nice to see the 3 bolt rear holding up for you. I'm sure the easy 60 foots are the saving grace for the poor thing. :sneaky:

Since when is a 1.8 60 foot time an easy one? LOL 1.8 60foot time is a pretty good, hard launch!

GREAT times, I love holset turbo's, I have 2 in my garage, One on my srt4, And one for my GSX too. I have used over 5 of them on different cars already. I would never buy anything but them for the price. I also have two bullseyepower turbine housings ;)

Even more inspiration for me! Awesome times man! I have a Holset HX-40 Pro version thats on my talon with a bullseye t3 housing. Unfortunatley I think I am gonna be choked up up top being as that my motor is a 2.3. But we will see. What size exhaust housing do you have on your 35? Again, very good times. Cant wait to get mine going.

Thanks alot guys. I never woulda though a turbocharger straight off a Dodge Cummins pickup truck woulda worked out this great, LOL.

I'm using the std Mitsu Bullseye bolt on housing. Only issue I had with it was boost creep on my o2 mounted external. I had to port the snot out of it and that fixed it.

I may head back to the track soon with more boost, if there's another nice cool night and try for 10's. :thumb:

holset turbos are the shit. you cant go wrong with a turbo that can last over a million miles on a turbo desiel truck with the boost set at 40psi +++. oem quality FTW...

if/when i get another turbo it will be a dodge cummins turbo...

I have a larger hx40 t3 housing, I think it's 16cm, I forget. On my 2.4l srt4 it would hit full boost at 4k, On the bep turbine housing I hit 30psi at 3500rpms.

Do you guys running holsets take oil from the head or oil filter housing?

Oil filter housing with an inline oil restrictor.

im also in the same boat as you,i want to see what my stock longblock only with brian crower 272's and my pte scm6152 will get me..what are you using to tune ?

My 60's have never been that great. I rarely hit 1.7's, I've maybe pulled 4-5 of them total in 2 years of track racing and well over 100 passes. I honestly don't know what I can do to get them any better. I run 225/50's on a 8" rim, maybe go wider on the tires?

Your old car launched great :)

Thats just plain sick man congrats. Thats also one of the best time/traps I've seen on the hx35.

I got a hx-40 with a bullseye mitsu housing. I cant wait to get it tuned. I just put my car together and have driven it a few miles to break it in. Im really excited now that I see what youve run. BTW I take my oil from the head. I have heard of guys blowing the seals out from too much pressure, im not using a restrictor though, just a 4an line with a earls filter. Keep up the good work:thumb:
