Well I finally was able to make it to the track this last weekend and Im simply amazed! This was all done on some Precision 1000cc injectors on e85. They are really limiting my setup but will be changed out this winter! These passes were at 30psi with about 18 degrees of timing up top.
First pass using launch control(2step) the car didn't leave very hard and I let off at the 1/8. Time was 6.85 @ 106.99. I was very very happy with the mph. Next pass I took of the launch control and just left using the foot brake. It felt really good so I stayed in it and the car felt amazing! Time:
60': 1.501
1/8: 6.523
mph: 106.97
1/4: 10.199
mph: 133.04
On the return road I got stopped by the official at the end of the track and he was pretty much yelling at me for having no safety shit and said I was going way to fast. I asked my time and he told me and I had to ask him two more times what he just said I couldn't believe it!!!!

So I somehow just got a warning so I had one more pass. I added a degree of timing but nothing else because I didn't want to risk anything being 3hrs from home. Launch felt good again so I stayed in it and got another personal best!!!! Time:
60': 1.531
1/8: 6.521
mph: 107.91
1/4: 10.159
mph: 134.42

The track officials kicked me off after that one! All In all it was an awesome day and weekend for my 100% street car that just drove 3 hours to the track to run bottom tens and then drive 3 hours home with no issues at all!!!!! I couldn't be happier with my car and all the hard work has paid off.

to bad you didn't have an in car camera, seeing the official yell at you would have been funny LOL. great run btw!

HAHA awesome dude, see you at tx2k13? Takes a little bit for the converter to flash I see. Put a little spray on that sucker.

Ill be there forsure and I don't know what was up with it taking so long to stall because back home it stalls within about 4-5 seconds. Might of had something to be with the trans being cool or elevation but usually its fine.

I can't wait, if it all goes well I will be taking mine down as well. Then we can tag team them DSM style LOL.

Congrats!! You still running those 1000s with that big ol 40 and e85?

That would be awesome man!

And yes all on the 1000s that only flow 940cc. Thats why I could turn up the boost anymore.

What were your IDCs? I was running E85 with my 850s and wally 190 and was hitting 96-97% IDCs only spiking at 20psi (tapering off to 17). On a 20G

Oh yeah. Sounds like we both need to upgrade! :)

Congrats on the 1/4 mile time man. That's awesome. I'm jealous you can run such high timing at 30psi. Any knock whatsoever? Even .4-.7 degrees of retard?

AFRs 12:1?

Edit- BTW, I love your pink wheels.

Great job, awesome passes man! :applause:
Thanks man!

And yeah thats the plan for this summer. I have no idea if its knocking or not. I haven't ran a knock sensor for 3+ years. I used to run higher timing on my stock motor and 18 degrees isn't that much. And afrs are right at 12.2.

You're brave! The P.O. of my car didn't have a knock sensor and blew a hole in his block. D'oh!

For some reason my car is really knock happy. I was getting knock on E85 at 16° at 20psi. Granted it was only 1.1° of retard max but I DD my car so I have to be extra careful.

Is this a street car too? Or just track?

street car. I drive it almost everyday and I am very hard on it.

I've always ran a knock sensor on my car and I still put holes through both sides of an engine block. That pull showed zero knock, so it can't always save ya. ;)

That's because preignition (the deadliest form of knock) doesn't show up on your knock sensor like normal detonation does. It's silent but completely deadly (like a ninja), however, excessive detonation can cause preignition. So, it is still nice having a good working knock sensor :hellyeah:

Nice pass man! I love seeing the Holset turbo's continue to make a name for themselves!
Thank you! And Hopefully next season I will be another holset in the 9s!

So how is it driving this 10.1 second car on the street with a shift box?
It is not bad at all. Honestly drives like a stock car except for the fact that you have to push bottons.
