Well I finally did it. After getting all the boost issues together the car ran great. Last week at the track I only made 2 passes (both 11.2) but finally maxed out the single walbro. Got a inline bosch setup now which has helped a lot. Shane @ ASAPerformance was there with me tuning the car after each pass so it was making more power each time. Made 4 passes total tonight...At the end of my 2nd pass I guess the alternator belt didn't like 8800 rpms and decided to remove itself. I had to drive my DD 30 min to get a new belt. Got it all back together for two more passes.
1st pass- 1.89 60ft, 11.22@131
2nd pass- 1.77 60ft, 11.01@132
3rd pass- 1.97 60ft, 11.19@133
4th pass- 1.80 60ft, 10.98@134

There are videos of all the passes. I will post them when I get them!

Should i be impressed?

ok im alittle impressed for a gaayfaag im going by the shop today

congrats again. beautiful night at the track btw, although prep wasnt great.

those hoosiers may be hurting your 60ft but i think thats whats saving your drivetrain. time for an lsd too

OH you forgot to mention you drove it an hour each way to the track!!
just like always :)

haha Thanks for coming! I would have never been able to make this pass without you finding that "bolt" for the alternator. Those hoosiers were wrinklin last night at 8 psi though. They may be hurting my 60ft but they handle 30lbs in 2nd gear on the street pretty well.

haha thanks ###. It's your turn to though with the hx40. I think the fastest time is 10.04

WOW congrats! 134mph with 2900lbs race weight. Right in line with your dyno results.

EDIT: Hey, put your results in the ECMLink top times for the year list. You'll be in the top 30 for sure!!!

Im hoping to be at the track this Sat with my hx35 on e85 and 30+ psi and see what i can do on street tires with an LSD insert... slicks are next on my list.

GJ man this definatly keeps me motivated to keep at it

Thanks. Good luck on street tires. I don't have an LSD so I don't know how much that will help you but I drove home on street tires. Floored in 4th and spun the tires. 1st and 2nd looks like im revving it they spin so hard.

yeah i had that problem at only 20psi on a 20g with no LSD but also im running 245/40/17's so they are pretty meaty so far just driving around i can definatly notice the different the lsd makes, no more torque steer or atleast very little but i can still break the tires loose a lil bit on the fwy in 3rd @ 30psi but no as bad as i was on my 20g one only 20psi on e85 so the lsd def helps

Ya I'm pretty sure it is. I think there is only one other fwd Dsm with a Holset in the 10s at 10.8. Should be very reachable. I still have my sights set on the fastest hx35 which is 10.70. This pass was done on 30-35lbs. Now that I have another pump, I can turn it up to 38-40 safely.

Congrats man! What a good year for holsets, cant wait for next year, im putting mine into the 9s for sure! My goal is 9.50s next year.

SWEETNESS... you are keeping my hopes high!!
I have a FWD and was thinking of going the 18g or 20g route due to wheel spin but this looks promissing!!

You have upgraded cv shafts and shit too??

Wow very impressive, I can't believe you have stock axles that are still holding up! I broke one with anti-lag on just a 14b which was mostly due to wheel hop. Are you still on stock struts? Also how wide of tires were you running?

hey richard what track did you run it at? my car is about to be done and deff need to get it over to the track

Very cool, question though, how close are you to overrunning the Walbro 255? My reading suggests approaching 550 WHP the 255 will run out of juice on E85.

STAY AWAY FROM MY RECORD!!!!! LOL. Your getting closer and closer. I cant even compete. Not fair. But good job.

Palm Beach International Raceway. If you make it over there let me know! Im always down to go to the track.

Maxed it out last week at the track. I made 527 though on the one rewired pump. I turned the boost up a little bit for the track and it leaned out. I now have an inline Bosch 044 and everything is all good again.

haha This was only on 30-35lbs. You know how much boost these turbos can push. I work 6 months out of the year so I have till March to do it.
