Thats the video of the hx40 dyno on the current setup with a 5 speed though.

Heres the video of the hx35 dyno. My setup was the same motor setup I have now. E85- intank walbro to an inline bosch stock fuel lines. 1600 injectors. Stock axles and stock 220k mile tranny open diff.

I had an lsd with the hx40 and it didnt seem to help much. I still cut 1.8s but it could have been the QTPs not cutting it anymore. The biggest thing is the boost by gear through link.

The drivability was the same form one turbo to another. The drivability sucked on my car cause I had crappy injectors. Now I have 2150s and its good.

my car is now auto and almost back up and running. I switched to AEM and am just waiting on a shift box so the car can shift.
 
Sick!! Do you think the car will make useable power passed 8k? If so do you plan on raising the rev limit at all?

160mph in 4th... thats crazy! What didnt you like about your last set of injectors and why did they affect your driveability?

My hx35 build is ALMOST done and cant wait to get it on the track.

At the track I would rev the car to almost 9k in 3rd to go through the traps at 135-138. I know with the hx40 it holds the power all the way through. I cant remember if the 35 fell off. I doubt it.

The injectors were cheap. The car would sputter at low rpm and never idled.

WOW. Gives me inspiration for my FWD. And no LSD? I just assumed you had one with that 60'. Congrats!!

ya When I did put the LSD in my 60fts didnt go down or neither did my ets with over 100 more hp. I still had to limit the power for more than half the track.
 
Haha I don't have that kind of money for driveline parts. I have some 26X8.5x15 mt's so it should hook a little better. I'm still looking for a 15in rim. Any recommendations? Something cheap preferablly
 
What brand were the injectors so I know what not to run?

I'm kind of excited about having fwd this time around .... I broke my trans 5x with my 92 awd....got good at rebuilding these trannies....

At least now if I munch a trans there is no tcase and driveshaft to drop LOL.
 
I felt the same way when I had my fwd 1g. But no traction on the street totally sucks. And swapping out wheels at the track begins to suck.
 
They are pretty much slicks with 2 lines down the middle to make them street legal. They are 26x9.5x16 on the stock gst rims
 
This car does nothing but impress me more and more each time I see it! Dude it's come along way. Kick ass job on the car so far. Looking forward to see a pass in person.

Lol I've put about 3500 miles on it in 3 years so they should be fine. They do leak a lot though.

Thanks! Hopefully I'll be making passes soon. Just gotta figure out the shifting with the auto and then it's good to go
 
Good deal man. It seems for anyone who wants to shave off a half second or so off of their E/T really just needs to swap to auto haha. I'm still fighting the good fight over here though. Even though last season (yes up here in the colder climates drag racing is a seasonal activity LOL) my tranny was out twice for major work.
 
Not trying to be a dick here, but how do you think you can help him improve those times?
