Mine is still shiny. I didn't think about the copper in it making it tarnish.

Well, buy then, you can get those stainless pre-fab jobs. :)
I am really happy with the feel of my brakes after I changed the lines and they looked like yours, terrible. We unbolted all of the line brackets under the car that held the original lines and used those where we could, which was most places, just so you know before you get under there.

    Update:
Finally got some time to work on brake lines. Started out by modding the old stock hold downs since there’s only two lines going to the back that will fit in them now LOL

Once I got the brackets cleaned up and modded it was time to start running lines

The passenger side line I’m not 100% happy with so I’ll probably be re running it down the road but for the time being it will do just fine.

    810C2607-9229-4B78-8340-47BE78EDD149.jpeg

Filled the reservoir with some dot5 and began gravity bleeding everything. Thankfully all the flares I made didn’t leak LOL. I was home alone so that’s about as far as I got for the moment. Gonna bleed the whole system for good Measure and it will be done. Then it’s on to put the bat back together and then a couple interior things.

Dot 5? There's some compatability issues there, Dot 3,4 and 5.1 you can do, but not 5.

On startup I did find one of the upper injector seals was leaking pretty good. Gonna have to order those now.

We wrapped our rear brake lines, where they are exposed in the wheel well, with vacuum line that I split down the middle and then zip tied it to our lines. Just to keep debris (rocks) from hitting it and possible putting a hole in it. I thought I had a picture of mine but I can't find it. You get the idea though. Just as a precaution. :thumb:

Sure, anytime! It was just because the original lines had the metal wire wrap stuff around them out there so I thought that I should try to protect that part somehow and that was super easy to do. Just a suggestion. :)

Glad you got your seals Josh, I always keep at least 4 on hand at the house at all times, sometimes 8.
When I did my son's rear dif in his Z28 this week, we had to bleed the rear brakes since it was all new and I came across this and LOVE it. It gets 95% of the air out. I had ONE burp of air after using it and it was so much handier than "pump, pump, pump" and "bleed", repeat. Just wanted to share. It works off of air like my pneumatic A/C vacuum pump.

heck ya thats awesome marty. the speed bleeders seemed to have worked well for me. pumped them all about 4 times each and all the air was gone out of the system. technically only needed about 3 but did another just for good measure.
