I will be Posting Pictures very soon and will be updating project on a normal basis. currently are in the process of removing the 6 bolt out of the car to put in the almost finished built 6 bolt. I'm looking to have the car finished by the end of february and will be running the car at the 18th Annual DSM/EVO Shootout At Buschur racing also plan on putting the car on the Dyno. Wish me luck and any input will be helpful.

A stock rebuilt tranny will hold that hp.. Its just how you launch.. Shock loading is bad and thats what destroys trannies.. the thing I worry about is he wants to NLTS and that will hurt the tranny..
 
I think Austin from dsm graveyard will sell you his wh1c holset . call them up . If not go to ebay and type in holset turbo , find a blown one which will be cheap and send it to a turbo rebuilder either from dsmtuners or a actual shop . total investment will be less than 400 bucks for a fresh holset

first dont get me wrong i am in no way flaming.But when you look at it hard launch puts more stress on the tranny than nlts,with nlts those gears are already turning,momentum so when you dump the clutch it is not as bad as if you were to launch hard from a complete stop.Just my 2 cents
 
I just know that if i do launch at 4000 rps or more or if i NLTS and if i break I will always have SHEP there ready to rebuild me a new one :) just hope my bank account agrees
 
Thanks man. I cant lie myself it is kinda hard paying for this car and going to college full time and only being able to work part time. But I am proud to say that I have no debts with this car or anything that im doing to it. Just save a little buy the parts 1 at a time and soon you will have your dream car :) .... Im so close to having everything bought for this car. just need to get DSM LINK and my seat harness's and seats :( but it wont be long.
 
Thats what i did for this build nice moderate, one thing at a time, the basics are done just need dsmlink to achieve my first goal for this car. With the awd ill get one day i can transfer everything over to the new shell, and plan for that build, so until then im getting parts here and there. Great build man, being in school full time and the car lotta work.
 
I was just asking about the Shep stage2 trans cause My buddy, the guy who owned my Talon before me Had a shep stage2 on just 360awhp and broke it at the track and thats why we have a stage4 in it now..

That was most likely from dumping the clutch and not preloading. At that power level he shouldn't of broken anything. Ive seen stock trans hold more than that with proper preloading.
 
Less clutch life < Exploded Trans

Edit: Also if you have mated your clutch and PP to match your build the 1-2 seconds of engagement wont hurt it.
 
So a lot of progress was made this weekend. first off I have assembled my short block and head and just need to mate the two toghter. I have went throught the engine bay and worked on my wire tuick and cleaning everything up. we also re-construceted the roll cage moving it back a little bit and lowered the door bars to elbow hight. I also started installing my AEM tru boost and AEM wideband. There is a ton of work to be done on the car along with a few more cases of beer to drink :) We have the whole rear subframe out the whole front suspension tore apart. motor still on stand roll cage still is about three hrs until the welds are finsihed. So if anyone is nearby the car is being put toghter in Jackson and you want to come help out LMK it would be great help to have this thing done by first test and tune in april . I will add pics when I get to my other computer. I have a lot of new parts :)

Hope you get it done by April, my car is still under snow so i wont be touching it anytime soon :(
