I will be Posting Pictures very soon and will be updating project on a normal basis. currently are in the process of removing the 6 bolt out of the car to put in the almost finished built 6 bolt. I'm looking to have the car finished by the end of february and will be running the car at the 18th Annual DSM/EVO Shootout At Buschur racing also plan on putting the car on the Dyno. Wish me luck and any input will be helpful.

Okay here are a few of the head and some porting/polishing nothing major tho, a pic of my new 8000K HID's :D. I promise to post a lot of pics this coming up weekend of the new roll cage, the wire tuck i did, the motor finished and pics of the rims on the car... cant wait

thanks guys for all the support I need it. esp with the recent situation. I am taking my time if you all cant tell and am trying to do it right the first time. Currently I am in st pete FL for a week taking a much needed break but When I come back it will be time to get the project done. I am ordering Link this weekend along with my clutch. Once again thanks for the much need support and cant wait to get her on the road. thanks to SIM it is looking like it is actually possible. O ya if you come to the Shoot out you all can go for a ride :)

Well I'm definitely going now:hellyeah:. I hope by then I can get at least a Fp Big28 so my car can at least be decent. By any chance do you guys know how much it is for a dyno pull and 1/4 mile run at the shootout?

It was 50 for the dyno which you got 3 pulls and it was 20 or 25 i think to run your car but only like 10 to get in if you were just watching. And another thing is SIM sponsored cars will get there way bought in to the dyno and race. :thumb:
 
Let's keep the topic on the build of the car, guys. Any vendor reviews, complaints, and/or praises shouldn't be posted in the tech forums. Please keep those things limited to the vendor directory or Welcome to Vendors-Reviewed.

I ws tying to use the blog feature but I could not connect this to the blog so i was loosing everything and all my comments. I believe I asked a moderator but they never got back to me on how to do it so i figured since the car is near finished ill just finish this up on here then my next build ill open a blog. hmm, i am going to have to watch around town now. (jackson) and look for some dsm's, sucks someone stole a FMIC back a few years ago. may have to stop up and see this car when i get my plates. great work.

Yah dude hit me up we can go to the local meets.

New progress was made tonight Finished up my engine bay cleaning need to paint a few things still but no biggie. Also I ordered Link V3 :hellyeah: and my new Clutch.

I also Worked on getting my non LSD axles out of the HUBS LOL what a joke need new ones now:notgood: there is another 300... lame. ... I also had the roll cage moved around a little will....

I will post pics for you all later or tomorrow.

Deadline for car is MARCH 27th :D Im going to finish installing the motor the 20th and here it run and then have it on the road by the 27th then at my first test and tune at US-131 April 3rd i believe.

And Also I forgot to Add I hate Axles and Hubs stupidest design and getting them apart is impossible. AHHHHHH I hate Mitsubishi LOL

Yea definitely liking the pink. I think it's because it's more of a neon color than anything.
 
Interesting pictures. I didn't think you could remove any of the bubs with the axle still connected... I know I've tried it in the fronts and it doesn't work, but it looks like you guys make it happen on the rears. So does the outside axle cup pass through the spindle hole? If so, I assume you just removed the inside axle cut and pulled it all through the spindle? Let me know because if that's how it works, it's going to save me a hell of a lot of time and trouble messing with a torch.


Also, thanks for sharing the link for the Import Face Off event. I'm going to try to make it over there for that. Looks like my 2G would fit into the Forced Induction Sport class, so I just might have to bring it along. I'm curious though, why are your guys running in the Pro class, rather than the Sport class?
 
Ya paul you can get the whole hub and axle as one peice. I just dropped the upper wishbone from the body of the car and disconnected the lateral control arm if you would call it that and had me pulling the wishbone out and allen pulled the hub out from the back and slide it out to the side.. It wasn't too bad but it does take some strength to move the suspension out of the way.. Then his grandpa just broke the hub down and then popped the axle out that way.. Worked out well..

You can see in the first pic we left the two ball joints connected and just undid the solid control arm that runs to the front of the wheel well and that gives it the movement towards the rear.. So you pull the suspension back and out and then the axle and hub forward..
 
I'm in need of some help with my clutch LOL, it sucks having a nice dsm and when it boost the clutch just goes WHEEEEEE! sachs stock clutch till i have some money then act 2600 and if i ruin that i quit LOL. I can't wait for an update on this.
