Max boost on a 18g

Not that I know of, unless FP is having some special actuators built. The Holset actuator still prevails because of it's 20psi spring (or close); however the flapper size effects how much pressure the actuator can actually hold....much like opening an umbrella in a windstorm versus throwing out a parachute in the same storm.

That would be because its not tuned for that much boost and it's doing more harm than good! Get something to watch the afr's it's probably getting to much fuel.

It is tuned, its tuned with a SAFCII now with RC550's and a walbro 255. I have a wideband, the AFR's are fine and I'm seeing 0 counts of knock at full boost. The car just doesn't feel a whole lot faster than a 16g right now. I'll be upgrading to Evoscan/Ecuflash and 1200cc injectors soon so I can turn the boost up. Someone told me they don't really come alive till after 21psi.

It's not going to feel a ton faster than a 16G until you get to a boost level where the 16G would stop flowing. You're only talking about a 2 lb/min difference of peak airflow between the two compressors, and I've had a tough time telling the difference between Evo III and 20G-powered cars in the past below 20psi.

I'm so in over my head right now its not even funny, I'm trying to buy a flashable ECU because I found out mine isn't flashable(just my luck)and pick up bigger injectors, a Tactrix 2.0, and get my car smogged and getting my HKS turboback back since I have a friends exhaust on my car right now..
