You need more fuel. On a stock 6-bolt i ran with a pegged out 30 psi boost gauge with 1600's and e-85 on my td05h 20g. You are going to need a logger, and wideband. Up the boost starting at about 15 psi, until you either pull timing, or get idc's in the mid 80's.

We ran a Frank Level 5 20G to 25psi on a buddy's bone-stock 2G 7-bolt a few seasons back. His mod list at the time was actually quite similar to yours. Tuning was spot-on, and the car ran great.

Once DSMLink V2 was installed and no other changes were made, the car actually made more power and cut faster E.T.'s on less boost because of the ability to control timing.

In that sense, your question is a bit rhetorical. Upgrading from a TD05H to a TD06H 20G isn't going to make you any faster unless you're running 25+psi, and more boost doesn't necessarily yield faster E.T.'s if you have the ability to do more fine-tuning.

what were your idc's?
i have a td05 20g and just picked up some 1100's so i can run e85. waiting for funds to order v3

I didn't log idc's with the 1600"s. I held my target afr from 10-30+ psi so i'm sure i wasn't having fuel issues. There is an e-85 injector and fuel pump guide somewhere around here.

There's nothing "20G" about a Frank 5. ;)

We ran about 28psi on a TD05H-20G on a stock 7 bolt with 550s and a Supra pump, best of 11.0 @ 123, stock ECU with VPC on VP103 unleaded.

Understood....the point I was making was that the stock block and head bolts held 25psi on a good tune from a turbo that makes a a good bit more airflow than a standard 20G.

But just because his stock motor held the 25psi fine doesn't mean everyone else's could as well. I'd say run a little less just to be absolutely sure you won't mess anything up.

on my td06 20g

i ran 25psi with 660's with Link

and 22psi before i had Link with the same setup on a AFC... any more then 22 and the stock ECU didnt like it

o and IDC's we pretty maxed at 25psi with the 660s i also had web 546/547 cams

Was this on 91?

+2 on the idc's i just wanna know where ill be at with range for these bad boys.

Well over 100% :rocks:

I'm not saying 550s are "safe" or the right way now that bigger injectors are so cheap and easy to tune, but back in the old days alot of people pushed them very far .

i totally understand where your coming from. my set up is kind of like that right now. im running 15ish psi on the td05 20g with 450s and a fuel pump and 272s. but i have 1100s waiting to go in with link.

if you really wanna know im running a blend of e70. about 4 gallons per fill up and my old ass 38mm delta gate is running off spring pressure of 10psi and it creeps to 20psi. i could hear the knock b4 i started mixing with e70 so i didnt let it creep but the car was still a blast at 10psi at half throttle. but since the e70 i can let it creep all the way to 7.5k and no knock. this is only b4 the smic gets heat soaked LOL. rocking a stock ecu:hellyeah: its been about 5 months now..

Td05h 20g,denso 660cc,wally 255 rewired, afc, logger, front mount, stock cams.boost is set to 20psi but creeps to 28psi by 5k rpm and falls to about 26 by redline of 7500.idc are roughly 95% after it creeps, but I do have her set a bit rich up top because I have no wideband right now.on a sidenote,my ecu is not making timing up for this psi.with no knock timing will not advance more than 11-12 degrees through out rpm curve.time to throw in the jackal and 1250cc

this is the only 20g discuassion i can find.

I think i would like to make my 7 bolt a 20g instead of the 16g, to much torque down low keeps breaking things!

I am fine with my 1000cc injectors aren't I?
DSMLINK V2 is also in my arsenal,
are thair any downsides other than less rpm boost spool i should watch for? and should i consider a better than stock set of cams with this turbo? I'd rather not but i will if need be,
I'm really hoping for 400hp at 6500 rpm's.

1000cc is plenty on pump gas...you may need more if on e85.

Cams will definitely help big time...the right cams will increase airflow by 4-5 lbs/min.
