GT35R vs BEP S(258-366)

since we are on the topic of BW/BEP vs. FP HTA turbos. With the same setup with just the turbo changed would a .7ar t3/vband s366 and the HTA t4z perform similar? I just picked up the s366 and figured I might as well bring it into the thread as well

Well I don't think we are going to get good opinions between the 366 and the t4z 88hta because of the fact that as far as I know, nobody has done back to back comparison between them and probably won't for a long time. And obviously if someone has either the 366 or the hta88, they will most likely be biased towards one or the other because of the face that they have only tried one and not both. But I did find a pretty decent price on the BW turbos at this site.... http://www.importperformanceparts.net/imports/bullseye-turbosdsm.html

Martin can get them for you.

Dave at BEP said he could get it for me as well (its not stainless though) and for like 90bux for the "stub pipe" as he calls it and clamp, which seems pricey compared to a nice actual stainless vband.

However, I've been reading different things now, I don't even know at this point if it's 3 or 4" vband outlet, and the shop said it's 'sposed to come with a clamp, but no word on the flange/stub pipe. My original plan was to order all of my stainless online for the exhaust, but I can't put that order in until I sort out what I need based on the above. I keep hearing my turbo is 'sposed to be in the shop any day now, but nothing yet.. I've asked over on the BEP forums, but no word there, that place is dead.

Heres the thread: Bullseye Power Forums :: View topic - Is this something wrong with v-band flange for S362 T4 ?

I just find cost to this turbo a huge down side. There are alternatives for less.. that do just as well...

Oh yeah, easily. The S362 (especially) and S366 in the .70A/R V-band would both be a much better option that is much more affordable and rebuildable then the HTA option.

sexy time!

Can you fit a divided T3 turbine housing on to a S200 CHRA?

think a 364 is a 35R killer? or is the 366 a better choice. i want to run mid 11's within the next year and a half or so, with slicks. and mayby into the 9's later

The S362 matchs up really close to the same size as far as wheel sizes go, but it will make 680whp. The S364 or S366 will make way more power than a GT35R.

The S362 is a really street able turbo, but then go to the track and up the boost and let it rip. There is an SRT4 3200lbs street car that runs 10.51 around 135-138mph in florida.

I had an old people moment..I actually meant "divided T4". In retrospect though that's probably a stupid decision anyways.

Man, I cannot wait to put an S256 on this car. Should be killer. As soon as I finish up the transmission stuff this turbo is next. I do wanna see how far I can push the E3 first.

I looked on martin's site the s256 is a bad ass 50 trim? When do you see full boost on it with the t3 .70 vband setup cause for teh price and what it is I think that would make a badd ass turbo especialy if it performs as good or better as a 50 trim on pump which is what I see 99.9% of the time.

the last log that was shown to me got 33.6psi at 4680RPM! That my friends, is amazing. When i saw that I didn't believe it. EVO scan was reading 469whp when the car dyno'd 502, now EVO scan is showing 530whp so if the same pattern continues we are over 530-550whp on pump gas with this thing.
