    Eddie, that looks like a awesome car. You'll have to post more pics of it. I wonder why the IR bcs hold boost better? I put it o my Christmas list so hopefully my mom ordered the right one...

    Gofer and GST with PSI may be able to correct me if I'm wrong but I'm externally gated running the v2 68hta and boost fall off is inevitable, unless your running an EBC and you can increase the duty cycle by RPM, say for example I'm at 60% DC to hi 25psi, by redline my DC would be up to 85% to maintain 25psi throughout the rev range, it's trial and error in my case, I'd be screwed without a MAP sensor

    I've been searching for a hta68 thread for so long and happened to stumble across this, great info guys.
    I am currently using a hta68 v1 on my 7bolt motor which consist of.
    Dsmgraveyard stage ported cylinder head
    ARP Head studs
    Kelford 272s
    Gsc valve springs with titanium retainers
    10.1 Manley pistons
    Manley H Beam rods
    Manley 88mm crankshaft
    hta68 v1
    FP manifold
    MAP o2 which i modified to an open dump
    ID1000cc injectors
    Walbro external 255 fuel pump
    Stock fpr (about to be upgraded)
    Ran ecmlink on the car before and was getting around 315hp@16psi, dont know how relavant but there is no awd dyno here where i'm from.Since then i have changed the ecu to aem due to the ecmlink not being able to take me past 26psi due to it being a lite(evo3).
    My main issue i've been having you guys clarified for me, its just for me to put in some work now to rectify these issues.(Tapering boost) mine usually spikes to 20psi and falls all the way back to 16psi, 25psi-16psi..with that being said i've only ever ran this car at 16psi solid since thats where it holds. At this boost level i've done 8.1sec in the 1/8th mile on sunco 260gt fuel. Currently the car is pulled apart due to a leaking headgasket, took the block and head to be refaced so in the mean while i'm going to clean u the engine bay and change u a few things.
    To do list: Port turbine housing, increase the size of the j pipe, modify an intake pipe, fuel lab fpr with fuel pressure sensor so i can log my fuel pressure,vent my crankcase pressure, port evo intake mani,changing the FP exh manifold to an equal length with external wastegate. Don't know if i left out anything but feel free to ask any questions.
    I will post a few screen shots of my 8.1sec ignition table, the car and the current updates as soon as I can.

    Well, here's my contribution:

    436 hp, 417 ft-lbs/tq.

    Motor / Turbo:
    •2.0L 4G63
    •Eagle H-beam rods
    •Ross 8.3:1 forged aluminum pistons
    •1G cylinder head
    •HKS cams (264 intake / 272 exhaust)
    •Forced Performance 68HTA V2 turbo
    •Internally gated 8cm^2 turbine housing

    The car is running on E85. Boost was 32 PSI @ peak then dropped off to 25 PSI by redline. The turbo is still internally gated. I'm on a Holset actuator that's shimmed to death, and that's literally all the boost I can get out of that setup. My EBC duty cycle is 100% across the board. If the car held 30 PSI all the way to redline, it would obviously be good for more power.

    ^^ think bigger cams would help hold boost a bit longer? The 264s are a bit tiny, probably holding it back past 6000. The 1G head's big ports might be dropping the psi figure, but it's still flowing.

    350ft lbs at the wheels by 4k rpm on one of those pulls is very good, V2 or not. The magnus v3 and 264 intake must be helping. Nice

    Hey, Corey. The runs were done in the order: black, blue, green. I go into the details in my build thread, but I'll elaborate some more here.

    The only thing I changed between pulls was the SD table. Boost, timing and target AFRs were untouched for all the pulls. The first run (black) was the baseline pull.

    After the initial pull, I made some changes to the SD table during spool up by adding some fuel in the 3k-4k RPM range. I also made a few changes at max VE.

    I then made the second pull (blue) and saw a decent increase in Tq and Hp. After that run, I just tweaked the spool cells in the 3k-4k RPM range again.

    I made the last and final pull, and saw another slight bump in power, but a small decrease in torque. At that point, I was satisfied that I was just teeter tottering between power and tq, and called it quits. The tune was pretty dialed in before I got on the rollers, so fine tuning it was fairly easy.

    The dyno was a Dynocom DC7500. It's an above ground chassis dyno similar to the dynojet.

    My buddy has one on his right handed vr4 really cool seeing one right from Japan super sleeper. Tuned here at force engineering forgot the dyno numbers.

    Now that I have the v1 68hta on I'm tempted to get it dialed in and bring it up to STM again, on a rough tune it's spooling almost 800rpm faster and only flowing 1lb/min less.

    wow stock block i wonder if i should have picked one up but i may in another project. So many set ups. i just may glad to see those running it and results. I hope my friend will try to push his vr4 with that turbo.
