-edit-

I was hoping for more. It almost seems like you are almost 100whp down. :(

What u mean??? Just bout every pass was a 100 mph pass, I didn't even 2step out of the hole, I trapped 103 in one pass, rule of thumb is u pick up 30 mph in 1/4 so that would put me 130+ not bad for 93 pump with meth!

6262 is bigger than my old 35R. At that boost level I was trapping 111mph in the 1/8th CONSISTENTLY with that 61mm wheel in the hot summer. Trust me, your power is down. Your power shoul around 700fwhp (minimum). Check for boost leaks, check your tune, check your setup (cam timing, fmic heat soak etc.) There is more power to be had.

I was curious on your compression, and how much power your car made. From you profile it seems you have a similar setup to what im building, im assuming ## car is a flex fuel car also

my question is, how was u coming out of the hole??? i wasnt even 2 stepping it out, im goin to a 1/4 track sunday and ive got the slicks bolted on ready to make a real pass, im sure my tune is fine, the guy that built and tuned my car has built and tuned a 700 hp car with a 6765 so im sure its fine, like i said in previous post, we had issues with the wastgate so im sure i wouldve hit 600, what were ## mods with the 35r?? what u on e85, racegas, got to remember im still om pump gas with meth

Ya you have an issue, even free reving it with no 2step your not going to lose 8mph, my holset on 26-7psi trapped 103 and it was a 131-132mph car but in no way was that thing making over 520-530awhp at that boost level.

a 67mm should make into the 800s not just touch 700. Are you on dsmlink? post a log.

If you were on pump gas only i would understand but Meth is a large help. no its not e85 but its a leep from running just pump.

67mm on 93 using heet from Walmart mixed with water wasn't something We really wanted to find out its limits of. How many cars running 93 pump with a 7gph meth jet are making 700 to the wheel?
My car is going race gas and auto so we will see what happens. If I get time I'll put a log up

I don't have an issue, I posted up here to give people some results on the 6262. How many people you know on here that make 700 hp with heet from walmart?? Yea I'm v3 with speed density. I'm on stock throttle body, you trapped 103 probably on e85. My average trap was 100. I put down 575 on a 2.0 liter 9:1 compression, 93 pump gas with a small jet 7 gallon per hour. What more do you want, it's a budget build, im going to the track again Tom but this time with the slicks n 6000 rpm 2step 8-10 lbs out of the hole, gunna see how it does!

Go ahead, speak your mind Glenn.

WEll, i just had things a little backwards, I didn't think he was being attacked and didn't have reason to be so defensive in the post before mine, but i think some of the wording was being used slightly different from how i was interperating it

I was just saying i dind't think anyone was dogging him for making a little less power and thought that slow91 was just agreeing that he had some wastegate issues..

then i saw that i think he was just getting defensive about people saying he was underpowered for the setup, as to which i cna't really speak because there's too many factors including reliability that will make cars put out different numbers on the same or near same setups :D

Then i also pieced together that him and wvturbo were on the same side of the mini-arguement taking place LOL

Well for my first time down the 1/4 mile, I ran a10.96@125 mph. :) a [email protected] in 1/8! Not bad for my 1st time down the track!!!

Congrats again! Hopefully everything gets lined out soon.
Glenn I'm always defensive about my car it's like someone talking about my kid LOL

Nice passes considering the head gasket issue. I'd be willing to but this was the culprit of the power being a little down. Probably leaking compression on the top end. The slips seem to support this too. On your 101 1/8th pass you went almost 130, yet on the 107 1/8th pass you only went 125.....that pass shoulda been about a 136-138 mph trap. Throw some h11's or l19's in that bad boy and recheck that high load/rpm tune and I'd bet next time will be 135-140traps all day!

It says a few pages back he was running H11's and mitsu MLS.

I'm curiouse as to what caused or at what place the gasket let loose since i've popped two in one month myself this last month

My bad. Just got done reading another thread of someone poppin a gasket that had stndard arps and I got em confused. Still my opinion that somethin was going on up top. 107 in the 1/8th is movin and would normally be on the high side of 135 in the 1/4. Hope I can get there myself with my h1c/hx40pro/FP35 hybrid. :hellyeah:

I'm curious also but you gotta think, I made this pass today on full blown mh slicks, that'll pull the mph down, just to let u know I'm a full interior car minus spare tire, carpet all the dead sounding shit still in too LOL but I'll keep everyone updated on what happen, I'll be pulling the head off this week

Yea I figured it would've hit 130 but has I shifting into 4th that's when it popped n I felt the car loose power, so get it fixed n try it again LOL

had voltage issue, the battery shit out on the pass and caused it to run lean and melted the top part on number 4 piston(which is last to get fuel/meth) cracked the head in the process too, i bought new pistons, new headgasket, new head, so hopefully will be back up and running within a few weeks!!! :hellyeah:

Sorry to hear the bad news. Broken parts always suck but open room for a new beginning. This thread has some good information in it and makes me wonder how my setup is going to run. Not trying to thread jack but now Im not second guessing if a 44mm waste-gate is going to be a good choice with this turbo.

Yea I totally agree, if I get get rid of my hks 60mm, I'd get a 44mm in a heartbeat!! I feel a 10.2-10.4 in the car once I get it back on the road! :) there's only 1 other 6262 dsm in the top 100 1/4 mile time n he ran a 10.7

Cause no one is hitting the tracks LOL i went 10.7 on street tires with an hx40 so it should be a very capable turbo the 62 im hoping for mid 9s we will see soon good luck fixing it.

Oh I didn't know you were running a 60mm. That makes me feel better (no offense) about the 44mm. We will still see tho.
