Yeah thats all fine and dandy that Jeffo has been such a contributor to the DSM world and I thank him for that, but I was just watching Ceddy's back to make sure he is getting the thanks that he is entitled for making it possible for other people to line there pockets is all.

+1 i agree

Its very common for tuners to include other peoples Mods and Patches in with their flash, I would say 99% of Evo EcuFlash tuners use Tephra's Mods.

What your are paying for is the tune, maps, and the time to set everything up for you.

My Mods are free for everyone to use, and I have no problem with tuners using my Mods. I don't want anyone charging for my work or calling it their own and selling it on ebay or something, that would be crumby. I think how the Evo EcuFlash guys handle this kind of stuff is the correct way, and we should follow their example.

Everyone have a Merry X-mas!

Wow Ceddy are you getting some serious cash kick backs from Jeffo at DSMChips.com for marketing everything that you have been working on with the flashing of the 98/99 ecu's. I mean in all honesty if it hadn't been for you braking all the coding they wouldn't have anything to sale. The thing that blows me away the most is that they are charging as much as DSMlink does for there setups.

I really didn't think that $110 was all that bad, considering the years of tuning I have put into my maps, and it is much cheaper than my Stage 3 EPROM chips. Maybe it has just never occured to you that there are a huge number of DSM owners out there that don't know how to tune their cars, and don't care to learn. :hmm:
True, Ceddy has a 4 month lead on me as far as disassembling this H8 code, but I'm trying to catch up. Some of the patches Ceddy and I have worked together on, and we have exchanged lots of information. I'll leave it at that.

SD questions! The SD is set up for a 3bar in place of the MDP right? When you turn the SD bit on does it disable the MAF MIL code? Does the new 3bar sensor double as a baro or do we still have to hook up a map sensor to the baro wire that goes to the MAF?

Yes, SD is still in the alpha stage, it is set up for a 3-BAR, 28 psi max now, 4 and 5 BAR will be added later. Compatible MAPs are the GM 3-BAR, and am adding the OMNI PnP 3-BAR next.

When you turn the SD bit on does it disable the MAF MIL code?
I have the MAF Limp Mode disabled, and most of the CELs, am still hunting down P0100.

The SD bit is just for SD Calculations, to build your VE Tables with your MAF still on.

See -> http://ceddy.us/?page_id=166
For more info on setting up your VE Tables.

Does the new 3bar sensor double as a baro or do we still have to hook up a map sensor to the baro wire that goes to the MAF?

SD does not need a Baro, like a MAF does. The Baro value is locked, your altitude determines which value to use.

So I have all values in Periphery Bits (292) at 0 but I'm still getting a misfire and a check engine light.

What am I missing?

A Misfire and P0300-P0304 Misfire CEL codes, are two different things.

An actual Misfire is caused by a problem in the ignition hardware. Igniter, Coil Pack, Spark Plug Gap, Ground Wires, Fouled Plugs. There is also Spark Blow Out, but this usually isn't a problem unless you are running very high boost(30+ psi).

Zeroing the P0300 Periphery Bits, turns off reporting the P0300 code. This code can be trigger by things that are not an actual Misfire. To much Timing Advance at Idle, 1G CAS not set at 5*, Big Cams, 1G CAS signal.

My next release adds another set of Periphery Bits (Periphery3 2A2).
This turns off:
P1217 Coolant Over Temp
P0000 Unknown Code
P0551 Power Steering
P1103 WasteGate Actuator Malfunction
P0510 Throttle Position Sensor
P1600 Battery Voltage Low

I can't offer any insights without the CEL Codes your are getting.

like always can't wait to see what your next beta release has done.

I'm trying to start my car as we speak. I know this is off topic but why would evoscan crash on me when trying to log. And if I try to activate any tests its crashes also.

just a thought but are the 98-99 non turbo dsms reflashable too?
i have a 99 eclipse rs donor car sitting around,
would it work if i were to change all the maps/tables?

No, the non turbo dsms are made with Chrysler drivetrain, including Chrysler ecu. The only exception to that is the SPYDERS with the 2.4 Mitsubishi engine and ecu.

Non-Turbos have the 420 motor and Chrysler Ecu.
A Neon forum should have more info, but to my knowledge no one has found away to flash the 420 ecus.

code "P1103 MAF sensor in range but count more like expected":aha:
i have this code when i start car on temperature below 32 no idea why.

P1103 has differing definitions from different manufacturers.

I think your BCS may be unplugged.

The BCS is modulated by cold temps(Higher Air Density), to prevent over-boost.

Or you may be flowing to much air down low.

Edit:

That test checks if Coolant is 174*F, and TPS is 84%, then looks at the MAF.
Think your not letting your car warm up enough, before going WOT, but I might have it backwards.

I would just turn it off if there are no other symptoms.

Definition of Diagnostic Trouble Code P1103
This Definition of P1103 is Applied to the Following Manufacturers

Acura: Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor Higher Than Expected Comprehensive

Audi: Oxygen Sensor Heating Circuit,Bank1-Sensor1 Output too Low

Chrysler: Turbocharger Waste Gate Actuator Malfunction

Dodge: Turbocharger Waste Gate Actuator Malfunction

Ford: (MAF) sensor voltage indicates a higher air flow than expected.

Hyundai: MAP Sensor Circuit High Input

Jeep: Turbocharger Waste Gate Actuator Malfunction

Land Rover: Throttle to air flow plausibility not active.Last occurrence - maximum signal

Lincoln: (MAF) sensor voltage indicates a higher air flow than expected.

Mazda: Mass Air Flow Sensor In Range But Higher Than Expected

Mercury: (MAF) sensor voltage indicates a higher air flow than expected.

Mitsubishi: Turbocharger Waste Gate Actuator Malfunction

Subaru: Engine torque control signal 1 circuit malfunction

Volkswagen: Oxygen Sensor Heating Circuit,Bank1-Sensor1 Output too Low

Got my car running 2 days ago. Fresh fully built motor sounds awesome. In the video there is no exhaust leaks or open exhaust it sounds beast.

The flash works flawless and the 2step with anti-lag really wakes the neighbors up LOL

Can't wait to drive it around. I wish it didn't cost $410 to register and title a car here in FL now.

Sorry for the crappy video's but there from my new phone I got for xmas. I will make better video's when I get a video camera.

Ceddy mods launch control
You must be logged in to view this image or video.

That holds 12 psi rock steady.

What turbo?

And Launch Control settings?
Stationary Rev Limit
AntiLag Start RPM
AntiLag Ignition Retard
AntiLag AFR

I'm pretty sure AEMs maps are 20x20. Don't know if AEMs Maps or Axis are rescalable.

The Ignition BigMaps is 22x26

Well whatever size the AEM maps are, its still amazing what your doing. All this is starting to make ALL other tuning platforms look silly, but its good though, competition is good. Pretty soon i will start looking for H8 ecu(or a evo 8).:thumb:

EDIT: aem maps are 17x21

Cant wait for v1.9. I am already getting the stupid P1103 code from the waste gate. And I can't get evoscan to log anything, I'm getting sputtering at close to 6k and it seems rich cause the C/E/L aint lighting up.

Also why and I getting a limit of -9 on the 2step anti-lag. Anything lower then that I get a (*)

I set up the nlts, it works great but it throws code p1600 and evoscan says it's an ecu comunication issue not a voltage issue. My ecu was using that pin for a gnd so at idle I can push the clutch pedal in 1/2 inch and my idle goes up 100 or so rpm. Should I add another ecu gnd? btw it's not even close to the friction point yet at 1/2" in. so it's not the drag rotating stuff.
