ECUflash Ecuflash boost control (ceddymod)

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

As for the people complaining, he could have charged a LOT more than he does. He charges only $30 DOLLARs to get speed density and big (resolution/scaling) maps. Not to mention all of the work he has done to get launch control, limiters, timing, and NLTS.

WE NEED CEDDY

Other than that, this shit is Bad Ass, I will use it over ecmlink everytime.

I agree. The regular maps are free or donate 5 bucks. 5 flippin' dollars...

I agree.

Haven't played with Link much. A little (a friend let me borrow his setup) but not enough to decide which one I like better. I have a V2 setup sitting at home I have yet to install... but for now I'm playing with the Ceddymods.

It's really easy to switch over to an Evo 8 ECU, so just do that if you need features that are not available.

This.

The Evo 8 ECU flash development is SO far beyond the H8 DSM ECU, and always will be. There are WAY more users, serving as full-time "bug testers", and several guys who are constantly developing it, vs. Ceddy who is a single guy trying to do the same.

The Evo ECU also is newer, I'm sure the hardware is better. I can't think of any reason to run the 98/99 flashable ECU unless you don't want to spend the $150-250 for a used Evo 8 ECU (that price range for how powerful the unit is an absurdly small investment) or if you're scared of wiring (it takes 2 minutes if you've ever de-pinned an ECU connector before, or 15 if you never have).

Has there been any update on this? I would most deffinetly be willing to donate 5 dollars if Ceddy, or someone, could get this to work. :thumb: I am sick of wheelspin in 1 2 and 3 gear. I wish i had the knowledge to work with that stuff.

If we found someone on the evo forums that's dealt with mitsubishi ECU's, I'd imagine the difference between ours and theirs is marginal. So if we collectively committed to donating a sum of money I'm sure we could make it worth someone's while. I'd be willing to throw in $20, twenty bucks for an EBC that can be manipulated is a good deal. :dsm:

Only problem is this is exactly what happened. ONE person started on it, and it doesn't pay good enough to develop any farther. $20 is nowhere near enough for someone to go in and recode this, and everyone had the opportunity to PAY someone to do it... and we can all see what happened (SEE: ceddy). Not enough people are willing to actually pay for development.

Like Beau stated above, if you want limitless features, ditch the H8 and go Evo. All my Dsms (1g,2g,gvr4) are running evo ecus.

I see what your saying. I would toss 20 out for the software since im in need of it pretty bad. I do believe almost all fwd guys would go with ecuflash if it had boost control. Since DSMlink does have it! I would LOVE to see this happen.

Like I said, there's not enough people willing to pay to have it developed further. $40 (between you too) isn't going to even get a developer to blink an eye. I was working on it, but instead decided rather than wasting 30 hours of time trying to develop it I could spend $100 and have all the features I want and then some (see: evo ecu).

Tephra wants nothing to do with developing this, along with Mr.fred. It's worth nothing to them since they will never use it. Acamus has built ROM's for me before, but again, just for a basic definition you're looking in the couple hundred $$ range. I don't know of anyone willing to drop around $500-1k to have a developed H8.
