blox 272 cams

i got these cams from a guy saying that thay are 272 cams from blox racing

i'm trying to find out if anyone is using this cams or know anything about them, i called the company and talked to a guy at blox and he said that they havn't made these cams in a few years, i called the guy that i got the cams from and he said that he has had them for a few years, from what i can see they look like they are in good shape, one more thing can you see a differnce in cams 272 to stocks cams????

I have not used the BLOX cams.

BUT I would have to say I doubt that you will be able to look at the cam and tell if they were 272 duration cams, you would have to use a dial indacator and measure the duration of how long the valve would be open.
also you would need to know when Blox starts measuring there duration, is it at first movement? or .004 or .008
a Factory stanard is measuing duration is "@.050" but that will be much less than 272
also are they reground cams? or ground from new blanks?
If they are regrinds, then your head needs to be set up slightly diffrent, most regrinds change the base circle of the cam to get you more lift or duration.

blox looks like they have some good products the only thing is that they mainly do hondas but they do have evo cams and some performance products for the dsms very little but they do have a few things..

the only way you will know if you have 272 cams is to measure the amount of duration of the cam.
you need the cam, a degree wheel and a dial indcator.

they dont have numbers etched in the end like comp does their cams? would be nice, you could reference it really easy on their site if they did...

These Cams are brand new not regrinds. Im sure they will be really equal to say BC 272's, just at a cheaper cost.

Keep in mind the Blox cams are $200 each. Most of the time BC cams can be found much cheaper on sale from vendors on this site.

....and I don't see any cams offered by Blox for any Mitsubishi vehicle other than the Evo VIII. I'd spend my money elsewhere.
