Hey I had a question to the owners of Crower or HKS 272/272 cams... Does it help at all from preventing creep, and if so how many pounds?

I after getting 3inch exhaust the boost creeps to 22psi -24psi. I ported the crap out of the housing and with 2.5 inch exhaust it held 17-18psi. Now with 3" it creeps way to high. This is the reason for the question because if the 272/272 extra Volumetric Efficiency prevents 1-2 pounds and not like 5 pounds... i might have to get external :(

Heres my port job any more near the wastegate and ill put a hole though it. WTF

cams will not cure boost creep to my knowledge...The cams will allow for MORE flow through the turbo creating more boost creep.

An properly matched external wastegate setup will prevent boost creep

I got tired of the creap so i just did the supporting mods to get me to 20-22psi on pump gas.

Now creap is not an issue.

If by going to a bigger flapper you actually mean opening up the wastegate hole, then yes, it will help with your creep issue. A bigger flapper by itself isn't going to do anything, but's necessary if you want to port out the wastegate hole.

I agree that cams would should make creep worse. Search for the "peepers mod". It might have some ideas to save you from having to go external. That porting you did looks pretty good to me.

As was said previously, buying the right goodies to just run higher boost might money better spent than on an external.

Only consider the big flapper if you never plan to run high boost. I have read that the big flapper can blow open at higher boost levels.
