How much for the compressor wheel and where would you be able to purchase one, directly from Borgwarner/bullseye?

Dont even think about it!


I already called Bullseye and asked, and they told me i would have to buy a whole seperate turbo because they wouldnt sell just the Batmo wheel/guts!

^ For their BW turbos, yes. Bullseye no longer offers complete Holset turbos, so this wheel is being marketed separately / individually.

I see bullseye choose a 6 blade to make their botmowheel. The 6 and 7 blade hx40s cant be the same, what wheel do you think performs better Justin?

Generally-speaking, less major blade count is worse for low-boost airflow but better for peak high-boost airflow in two equally-spec'd compressors. It must work because their popular BW Bat-Mo compressors are also 6-blade despite being 7 from the factory.

The 7-blade billet HX40 compressor available from Holset is nearly identical in design (visually) to the 7-blade HX35 wheel, a wheel which can make more peak airflow than the 8-blade HX35 wheel despite being smaller (54/78mm vs. 56/83mm).

Nothing back-to-back yet, but the standard 6-blade 60mm cast turbo is back on the car whenever it gets done with the chassis swap.

Did dave even push the batmowheel? I dont see flow numbers. Compairing BAE 62mm or batmowheel and neither have real airflow numbers/results.

I would love the airflow/comparison results between the cast 6 blade hx40 and the batmowheel for the hx40 to know if the batmowheel is worth even splurging the extra numbers for.

Dave is back to the stoc wheel because people were saying he only hit 9s cause of the batmowheel. He wanted to prove otherwise. I dont think he ever got around to posting numbers for the batmo.
