im going to ask a dumb question why do you need the ac braket?
The very bottom portion of the A/C bracket also acts as a spacer for the intermediate axle shaft.

There's no need to run the entire bulky bracket though, so you can just cut off the part that you need. If you can post a pic of the bracket, I can show you where to cut.

That red is pretty damn clean! Way too clean tear apart IMO. Id throw an ECU in it and sell it for 3k then buy a junk donor! Hell I hated to even tear my donor apart and it didnt have an engine! I still dont know what I am going to do with the shell, Ive thought about putting my fwd supframe back in it and getting it running and sell it.. But thats lots o work!

heres mine!

If your using a 95-96 intermediate shaft then the stock one is fine. If your using a 97-99 intermediate shaft you will need the matching ac bracket as it has an extra bolt hole for the axle bracket.

I don't know if it will help you (atleast it will help other swappers in the future)...

bought grade 8 1/2" x 6 hex bolts..did the trick...

eyeballing it..maybe a 17? 14 seems too small

If you can use the upright/knuckle parts from a 2gb car, the ones from a 95-96 won't clear as wide of a tire. i'm running the stock FWD ones up front (97) and they fit my 225/50/16's fine, but in the rear i'm running the knuckles/uprights from the 95 donor car and have to run spacers to fit the same tire :(
about the left side axle intermediate bracket.. I'm running a 97 car with 97 compressor and bracket, but the drivetrain is from a 95 and it fits just fine, there's only 2 bolts, maybe it's because i'm running a 6 bolt engine but i have no troubles like i've seen others have on these threads

I have an extra set of AWD ones if someone wants them. I will measure them and the 2gb rear knuckle for brian tonight.

No problem. Btw, I don't have any of the drive shaft brackets and that is the only subframe bolt that I could find. I may have previously overestimated my extra stash of parts.
I'll come up with some if I need to.

I know for sure I had an extra set of each, but tossed them in the scrap pile when I cleaned out the garage this past April.

I installed a 98 tank in my 96 with the 96 filler neck. No issues at all. Fills up fine, and fast.

Use the rubber hose from your car, its a tad bit smaller than the neck on the tank. But with some lube it went on fine.

sense my parts car gas tank (95 talon), was damaged beyond use. i had to get one from a 98 gsx. i noticed there is a lot of things that are different. i should still be able to use the 98gsx tank right? what are the big differences.

As long as you use the complete filler neck for your parts car, it will have everything you need.

On another note, i finished up the AWD swap this afternoon. Looks good so far... now i just need to finish up my 5 speed swap and engine swap.

also for anyone interested... 1/2inch bolts will fit fine, if not, better then the 12mm will. Nice and snug.

It doesn't matter what neck. The difference in the size of the filler tube is less than 2mm, so the hose fits on both fine.

The vent tube is the same exact size for both.

I installed my 98 awd tank, with my 96 fwd filler neck. Zero issues. I used the original fwd hose as it fit better.

Fills up just as fast as it used to with my fwd equipment....

I was doing a 99 into a 97 and the top of the necks where very different. The 97 bolted straight into the body, while the 99 had about an inch thick removable spacer between the neck and the body mount.

I think what i was trying to say was either neck will work, just use everything between the body and tank whether awd or fwd, dont mix match part.

Just curious if anyone has done any launches with their awd swapped vics? I've done very little driving and haven't heard any thuds or clunks so I guess I'm ok. Just don't want to rip out the rear end on a good launch

After we drove it out of the neighborhood. Checked all fluids, etc at the stop sign. I stalled it at almost 3k and launched it...

can someone send me the wiring layout they used that worked,
ive made some process, my donor car is a 95 talon all stock but no motor, everything is pretty solid on the car .
pics of stuff ,ill be doing a how to in a few months once im completly done.
