Just a quick question. Do 96 swap parts work on a 99 FWD? Not sure if it has to be 2GA and 2GB specific.
Yes. We have used a 95 talon donor to make a 99 gst into awd. The rear knuckle has 2-3mm less clearance due to the arch of it. This only matters if trying to fit aggressive offsets. Most will not be aware or ever even know.

Yes, just make sure the axle gear matches the transfer case. I believe 97-99 have different ratios than 95-96. Definately don't want to get those mixed up.
 
Yeah it's a matching set. Is one any better than the other?
Let me correct myself for future DSMers. The tranny and transfer case must match. I believe the rear is the same on all models. And no, they serve the same purpose. Really don't tell a difference

I also used 96 parts on my 98 Spyder like state above just match the transmission and tcase you'll be set. I'm actually going to try and source some knuckles from a 98-99 for the extra clearance in the rear.
