Are BC Valve Springs Directional?

I’m installing BC single Valve Springs with Steel retainers and wondering if the springs are in any way directional?

Both ends look the same as far as how close the coils are together. Is the blue paint an indicator? Or is that from a check done at the factory when they were made?

No instructions pertaining to this in the box the springs came in or on then website. Googling didn’t reveal anything either.

If they are and BC hasn't said anything anywhere ever about it, my set hasn't cared one bit in thousands of kilometers. So, no, I would say not.

Not that i am aware. We have used these springs a few times over the years and always figured they could go either way.
