what valve springs for BC 272 cams

Just want the best bang for the buck, but also i want whats ideal for my 272 cams.
Ive heard that BC1100 springs are good? any thoughts?
Also what retainers are good recommendations?
Are Manley retainers any good?

I would run the bc upgrade springs with stock retainers. If you want to spend more money I would jump up to kiggly street springs.

Stock springs and retainers are plenty as mentioned. Just make sure they are in GOOD condition.

Ive been running the bc272 on stock springs for 13k miles and 8250revs

Ive got the dual springs though tha will be replacing the stockers when i have time, as well as bigger cams

I ran stock springs for awhile on bc 272 as well. I now run Kigglys.

With a brand new Oem head, with brand new oem springs I would float them over 35psi of boost, at as low as 5,000 rpms. It was the exhaust back pressure floating exhaust valves. I threw in a set of bc1100's and it was fine.

Which cams? My Galant has made 700whp+, 40psi+ on these Web cams (a little aggressive than OP's 272s), 9,000rpm revved all the time including on the dyno. It has Kigglys on now, but I have S3s in it too. I have ran stock springs hard and never had an issue.

Just some fp2's. The car would rev fine to well over 8,000 at under 30 psi. Cranking up the boost would float the valves.
