Hey, I feel like this might be a no brainer, but I'm a little nervous. Ok, I have a 90 eagle talon tsi awd that has been converted over to a 2g maf. I did not do the swap and have no idea who did. I bought the car in a nonrunning condition. I have ecmlink and am switching to SD. When ordering my SD cable, can I just order a 2g maf and everything be fine? Clear as mud? good!

    Thanks!

If you are talking about the PnP SD cable, that would depend on how the previous owner modified the harness. If the car utilizes some sort of 1G/2G conversion adaptor (if your car's harness still has 1G MAF connector) then you can go with either way 1G or 2g SD cable. if the 1G connector has been removed and swapped with a 2G connector then go with the 2G SD cable. If you are not so sure just take a pic and upload it. More people would help you.

Yeah, the guy cut and soldered in the 2g connector. I think I'm just gonna go ahead and order the 2g maf connector. Thanks

That’s exactly how I did my car 1g with 2g maf plug and got the 2g cable. Works fine.

The suggestions are correct. When mounting your IAT bung BE SURE TO MOCK WHERE YOU ARE PUTTING IT SO YOU DON'T HAVE ANY INTERFERENCE ISSUES.
I almost fudged this up lately when putting it in my TB elbow. On my other DSM I have the IAT bung in the UICP and like it there better. It is mounted after the BOV, closer to the TB area and seems to be better than in the TB elbow position. Just giving a tip that I like.
I am glad I switched to SD and have it on all of my 3 cars.

The reason I prefer it in the UICP is because it is too close to the NO2 nozzle area to be clear (which is the TB area.) To busy right there for me. But this setup is all new since its auto..and in my stick car its to close to the Water/Meth nozzle, also located in the TB elbow of that car.
