Took the car out for a drive across town for fuel. Half tank of e85.

Couple things to note:
- Driveshaft still vibrates at around 50mph but I REALLY have to feel for it.
- Exhaust flex pipe is hitting my Tcase and ratting pretty hard. Not sure why that's a deal all of a sudden.
- have an exhaust leak somewhere. I assume it's probably where the downpipe meets the catback.

Did a couple small pulls and this was the only decent one. 40lbs in both 2nd and 3rd, it's about 50° out. Car went hard left in 3rd so I let out. Don't fancy crab walking all over the road at 90.

Honestly I'm just not happy with the car right now. Tired of fighting with it. About to just pull the trigger on the DSS shaft so that would be done and over with.

I understand the driveability issue under WOT. I have the same issue even with the drag Radials. Nice pull!

Hello,
If you are still having a vibration issue, consider if your drive shaft u joints are "out of phase". In the last picture you shared of your driveshaft, it looks like the rear shaft is about 90 degrees out of phase with respect to the middle u joint "yoke". I assume this is how it is installed on your car today (you put it together like this seperately and then bolted it up this way). Perhaps this is contributing to the vibration. I see you have purchased a new DSS shaft which is great. When you install it maybe carefully check that it is "in phase" so that it doesn't result in the same vibration you currently are experiencing.

More information on driveshaft yoke phasing is here:

That's good information, however this shaft I marked everything before pulling it apart so that I couldn't mis-align anything when re-assembling.

The CV joint in the middle SHOULD be in phase with the rear UJoint. I also referred to Jafros video about making sure they are in phase and it LOOKS like it's in phase comapred to his video.

Is it still possible that it's out of phase with that information? Or how can you tell thr phasing of the Middle CV joint and rear UJoint Yoke?

Well, I did it. I ordered a DSS driveshaft off eBay from 541 Motorsports. Paid $965 shipped somehow getting a $75 discount with a coupon code (AUTOPARTSEN)

should be here by the 26th. Pray for me again boys, my wife might actually kill me LOL
AAAANNNDDDD they messaged me and said they're 3 weeks out. Lmao

Does anyone here have a series of pictures or video perhaps that shows the entire driveshaft, orientation of the UJoint yokes as well as position of the weights?

Do you want me to climb under my car and take pictures? Would that help? Wouldn't be very hard, but might take me a day or so. I'm off the entire weekend.

You'd just have to walk me through what all you wanted pictures of. I'd probably video it too.

Nah no reason to go out and do it while its on the car. Was just hoping that maybe someone had something either off the car to verify against or already had pictures of videos.

I'm gonna crawl under my car and verify all that stuff against Jafros video to see how mine compares. I have a feeling that something is off but I don't know what yet.

After I flipped the shaft end over end, AND rotated it 180° maybe that threw the front 3rd out of phase. Maybe now the ends have been flipped, it just needs rotated again.

Meh, it's not a big deal to me. I don't mind helping. :) If you change your mind and want me to, lemme know! I'll put it up on jackstands and video it in detail. I'll have someone rotate the shaft while I video it too, for comparison. Just holler at me!

View attachment 779488Not sure if this helps, here’s mine after pulling it last week, for what it’s worth I never had any vibration
That helps out a bit, thanks!
Any pictures of where the the weights are on the front 2/3 sections?

Trying to use those as reference to make sure the shafts are oriented correctly

Ideally what I need is a series of pictures of the entire driveshaft assembled, and where the each weight is located on each shaft without the shaft being rotated

I still can't tell if OP is the right orientation LOL
I can't really tell either. Lol I've got to mentally rotate everything to match his.

I'll end up climbing under the car to check mine out.

I did take pictures of my original driveshaft and my front 1/3 shaft only has one set of weights on it in total... At the back so I'm not even sure this plan will work.

Obviously I know balance can differ and that doesn't necessarily mean that all the shafts will be the same.

Some shafts are different than others for sure.... ;)

Okay so Christmas came early, driveshaft showed up in just over a week after ordering.
(The adapter plate is there, just not pictured)

Does anyone know what phasing needs to be for the adapter plate? It's mentioned in other threads but never solved.

The adapter plate says MIPL-1 if anyone can confirm the appropriate part number was sent.

Do I make the yoke that's attached to the adapter plate the same phase as the rear or do I make the driveshaft side yoke the same?

Got the driveshaft mated up to the original rear driveshaft of the car. As you might be able to see, the yokes seem to be 90% off from how they're *supposed* to be but this is literally the only way they fit due to the CV cup having 6 bolt holes meaning it can only change 60% at a time.. so it can ONLY be 180° out.. and the adapter flange from the DSS driveshaft side is rectangular so the same thing can be said.. with that said this looks goofy as hell haha

Another Christmas present, I nearly cleared out Ol Mike R with all his transmission parts.
Bunch of stuff here for spares. Unpictured are a couple output shafts as well as about 10 other misc shift forks.
