Well what a coincidence, I too desired a big SMIC for my 1g, and recognized the demand for them that has gone unfilled. I did a mockup complete with core dimensions already available, 2.5" inlet and outlet, and also a template to cut the sheetmetal of the car. I planned on sourcing the components myself and finding a fabricator... but I'm also going to be moving up to Washington in the next few weeks, maybe me and Raven Fab can get together and provide a 1g solution as well.

What's the thickness? The OG big SMICs looked WAY thicker.

I have an OG big side mount. love it.

It is a top to bottom front mount core, cut in half and doubled up with custom end tanks.

Not sure how it compares to front mount for heat dissipation, but I have working AC, so I don’t complain.

I just ordered myself a TIG rig and plan to fab myself a 5-6" thick SMIC for my 1G. I'm interested to see how much interest this gets. If I'm half decent at making them then I might just turn out a batch.

I would so love this also I'm interested into the 6' core if not six at least five

I believe the oem 2G core is 8x7x2.7. An ~8x8x4.5 core would almost double the volume.

Bell makes cores up to 6” thick so you wouldn’t have to stack... but I don’t know if 6 would fit in the oem location.

What a bummer. I wonder how long they will keep it open? If it's been a month and only 5 ordered, I doubt it's going to happen.
