2G Who wants a big SMIC? gauging interest

Well, this is a disappointment about how all this turned out, I was really hoping for an upgraded sidemount. But the extra $600 will be nice

I’ve noticed that there seem to be a lot of 2G DSMers who want to buy a big SMIC, like the old Hahn or Dejon models, but there aren’t any around anymore.

This thread is to see just how many people are willing to pay for one. I’ve talked with some fabricators, but most are either too busy with higher value work, or don’t want to take the time to prototype for just one or two units.

That said, if we can show that there are 10-20 people who are willing to pay a fair price, maybe we can get a fabricator familiar with our platform willing to take on the project.

The product would be: a 2G high-volume bolt-on SMIC (stock location and fittings). No cutting, no bumper bulges, probably a 4” core good for 400-500hp. ish.

If you want to see this happen, please post up and say what price point you would want to see. Keep in mind a quality US-made bar and plate IC core in the size we want is around $200 by itself.

Fabricators: if you are interested in taking on the project, post up (or PM me) and let us know your price point and minimum production run.

This is not any sort of commitment. Just post if this is something you want to see get done.

I would gladly pay 600 or more for a smic that could support 500 awhp.

I'm on social security. So its a maybe for me. I hope were talking a bolt on smic and upper and lower piping.

I contacted Raven fabrications about this and was told it never got off the ground because they couldn't get enough interest. they need 20 people signed up, and think prepaid. I would definitely like one.

I had prepaid my deposit, but after 9 months I think there were 4 paid orders. Everyone requested a refund.


If this gets traction again, I will happily be the 20th paid preorder.

Theres gotta be a way to do it cheaper. And get the price down for sum of us. Im surenthere would be tons of interest if we did a little more recruiting here or fb, insta, snapchap, pornhub whatver.

We want to get more interest. If we can get enough interest 8 think the price may come down.

Especially for those of us that are poor.
